This counts more than a normal playoffs because of the lack of travel and lack of in-arena distractions. We are watching peak performance in the bubble.
Those distractions and how you manage them is part of the NBA bro. That's part of what seperate superstars from the pack.

I guess the counter-argument is: are we really witnessing how good everyone is without those additional pressures, when those pressures are the very fabric of NBA play and are historically relevant? After all, those pressures affect player performance and ultimately the result.

Yes, we are. Cuz they’re competing against opponents who aren’t affected by those pressures.

Not a sizable difference. If your fans/home court made that big of a difference Denver would have multiple banners hanging up .

the best teams win the chip 99.9% of the time that’s all that matters.

no team has made a run and won the chip based on HCA
You’re being so disingenuous...of course the best teams win the chips. They also earn the luxury of home court as a result of being the best teams, to widen that margin between them and the lesser teams
And teams with HCA, as of the past 10 years, win 74% of their respective series.
That’s not all strictly because of the home court, obviously. Talent always will be the leading factor. But to pretend that not having it isn’t a big deal is again being disingenuous at best.

In short teams like Milwaukee, LAL, LAC, TOR etc won’t get to enjoy the fruits of their labor. And the lesser teams will have a more even playing field..

And that’s not even getting into the psychological effects playing in packed out arenas have individual player performances.

Remember when we didn’t have basketball? Now we got it and nikkas still bytching about anything.

Tell me about it. Typical American privilege. It dont even matter the race of the person complaining.

People complain for the sake of complaining.

Just be glad we got some competitive sports right now
