Most skilled african player ever. :wow:

They are known by some but they are not superstars, I hate how people misuse words especially that one, it's like the time some dude was trying to tell me Dej Loaf is a global superstar :why:

They are confusing superstar with being a good player. None of these dudes they named are even in the same level as Neymar, and players like Pogba are more famous because of marketing than his football.

They are far from being superstars, nobody knows them like that.

Damn you're retarded.

Sadio Mane and Aubameyang are globally recognized.

Aubameyang won African Footballer of the Year.

Pogba is the second most expensive player of all time. Marketing makes you a superstar, you can't invalidate that. Neymar has been mareted.

The average/casual fan don't value players that much anymore because of Messi/Ronaldo's standards but we been having elite players representing.

2011 ~ 2015 was just a bad stretch and most of the elite black players were defenders during this time.

OP has a slight point.

For awhile only Yaya was holding it down on a super elite level like that.

Mid 00’s had French, Brazilian and Dutch ballers - plural. Obviously Africans too.

But then Brazil got real Cacity. France fell off. Germans and Spanish cacs started dominating. Messi and Ronaldo just levels above everyone.

But now we byke at the forefront. Kante just the beginning.

I will say African players got turned into swaggerless workers for some time. But we byke.

Boateng (Jerome), Kompany, Marcelo, Alaba, were all elite during that time too, Dante was arguably elite with Heynckes, but yeah Yaya's 2013/14 season was :whew:

Marcelo was ridiculous last season ,legit was top 3 in that Real team going forward for some time. Boateng has insane passing range and Alaba declined with Pep's experiments because he played 3 positions for Pep.

While true, athleticism is extremely important especially up front and on the wings.
Nope. A smart baller will always be better than an athletic freak. Luis Figo was almost :flabbynsick: but his skill made him one of the best wingers of the 2000s.

Messi and Ronaldo pushed the bar for consistency so high that people have underrated other positions. After them it's definitely Neymar because of his performances for Brazil as well raising his performance for Barca like against PSG. After Messi and Ronaldo are done it will go back to the old days, there has ever been a longer period of dominance by 2 players like them. I have seen stats like they have collectively averaged like a goal a game since Ronaldo moved to la liga in 2010 and that is like 700 or so goals between them.

Out of that list only Paul Pogba is Black.

Messi is White (Italian descent). Ronaldo is 75% European (Iberian Peninsula) and 25% Black (Cape Verde) . Neymar is genetically admixed.
