I think they have too much money invested to reboot, 250+mil in SS, 300 -400 mil in BvS, 250mil MoS, 150 - 225mil in WW, probably 175mil in Aq and 150 -175mil in The Flash. Zack's story credit is probably more a contractual inclusion and producing credit as well. I mean they said Affleck is getting producing credit and doing rewrites on JL, so its like they are trying to change direction mid-stream.

Just overall the planning and execution of their cinematic universe was rushed in comparison to Marvel, plus they have some major character changes that Snyder made that Johns has already said was stupid out right, with regards to Superman.

That's more on Nolan than Zack and the CEO of WB at the time who was an idiot who thought the idea of shared universes was a bad idea along with thinking the dark tone works for every DC movie. Then he claimed MOS would make a Billion dollars and got pushed out by the board after

Yeah you are talking about the head of WB film, Jeff Robinov, yeah he was terrible, that said I put most of the WB fault on the head Tsujihara. DC should have had its own film division (proper) for a long time now and the way they would dip their toe in and back off after Marvel laid down the blueprint. They just showed from top to bottom they were rudderless.

Actually they would've had one if George Miller would've got JL Mortal off the ground because his movie layout was similar to the MCUs but TDKT and writer strikes killed that. All we can hope for though is for the course correction to pay off, which WB is hoping because it's the only franchise they have now making them money ever since Harry P, TDKT and LOTR stopped.

Yeah Geoff Johns has admitted to the course correction,

Hopefully it works and they get the characters right, that said if JL isn't a success it would be better at that point to just clean everything up and start over again.

Patrick Wilson To Play ‘Aquaman’s Evil Half-Brother ORM

EXCLUSIVE: Patrick Wilson has been set by Warner Bros and director James Wanto co-star in Aquaman. Jason Momoa plays the title character, and Wilson will play the fish whisperer’s supervillain half brother ORM, also known as Ocean Master, in the DC film that Warner Bros will release October 5, 2018.

The character has some of the sibling-rivalry elements found in Loki. That is Thor’s half brother, who has figured as the heavy in numerous Marvel films, in the form of Tom Hiddleston. ORM is at least as disagreeable and more powerful: In the comics, Aquaman’s human half brother is a rival for the throne of Atlantis and wreaks havoc on the high seas and beneath them when he doesn’t get his way. Amber Heard is playing Mera, Queen of Atlantis.

Wilson, who earlier this year starred in his second Conjuring film, opens Friday in The Hollow Point and plays the romantic rival to Michael Keaton’s Ray Kroc in the upcoming The Founder. CAA and Anonymous Content rep Wilson.

Aquaman first was seen in a cameo in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and plays a major role in the Zack Snyder-directed follow-up Justice League, in which he and other DC Universe heroes face off against the villain Steppenwolf.

Three Watchmen have returned, will we see more :ohhh:

Love the casting. Wilson is one of my favorite actors out now. I was actually hoping for him as Lex before they cast Eisenberg

Umm maybe it's also because the first 3 DC movies made more money than the first 3 marvel movies ?

revenue and profit are two very different things. Might want to check the profit of the 1st 3 marvel MCU movies vs this new DCCU movies.

We don't know the profit. So asking to look at something none of us have access to is pointless.
We can estimate the profit and we can look at the actions of the respective studios to see a confirmation.
Seeing how DC is scrambling, it leads credence to the common thought of them breaking even on MoS, probably losing money on BvS, and a small profit on SS.

So in other words, using your personal bias and asuming what ever fits your narrative

Even if you go by total budget + gross at box office

The first 3 MCU films made 981 million in "profit" when you minus the budget from the gross.

The first 3 dcu films made 1.635 billion in "profit" when you minus the budget from the gross.

As far as actions, after BvS wb scheduled more DC films you don't schedule more films if you lost money.
