Lol you mustve bought a lot of apps that you don't really use much. I've had the iPhone 3g/3gs/4 and I don't think I've spent over $30 total between the phones and the iPads I've had...u went crazy buying apps lol

thing is, I travel lots. So its just easier to take my iPad/iphone with me than a full laptop sometimes.

so I just toss some games on there and go to work.

I also let my kids play on my iPad so I get games for them as well.

shyt like lego harry potter, tower defense games, civilization, plants vs zombies, scrabble, sim city etc

not to mention all the EA games (when they go on sale for a buck or 2)

it adds up over a few years.
and frankly it ain't a a big deal at the moment. buy a game and play it for a bit costs the same as what...a chocolate bar? I don't jsut buy any game, but if it gets good reviews and worth coppin then I'll support it

but I've probably spent the most of my money on random music apps...soem I regret and some I still fukk with.

FL Studio is cool ($15), Korg iMS 20($10) is cool iKaosillator($5) is cool and Lemur($50, got a $50 app store card as a gift so I gave it a chance) is a beast. Plus I got the iMaschine too play with and compliment my Maschine

rebirth is OK, I kinda regret that one, I bought it kind of as a throwback cuz I rememer fukkin with it back in the day. Beatmaker was the first music app I had on my phone, it was cool at the time but don't use it much now
Akai Synthstation was OK when it came out but the updates have made it much better

I ain't a broke dude, I got some money, and I don't mind paying for shyt that is good. even if I had an android I would do the same. I'm not tryna make this an iOS vs Android thread. The whole point of this thread was that I was REALLY looking at coppin an android phone but at the moment I don't think the loss off investment I made compared to the phone change is worth it.

plus does android even have music apps like that(especially he ones I bolded?)
if so, then that could help sway my choice

Breh, I wouldn't even worry about them. They want developers to spend hours/months working on something just to give it to them for *FREE*. I mean damn apps are freaking 99cent - 6.99 most of the time. Doesn't take a baller to rack up $30 worth of apps. luckly we have people who do pay for apps or else what would be the point of these smart phones? play on youtube all day? use maps for every destination?

There are great games on android

Like what? As I said earlier list any android "hardcore" games comparable to i.e. infinity blade, soul calibur, chaos rings. Emulators doesnt count.

I've been with android exclusively phone wise for a few years and I buy apps that are important...the little bullshyt apps I just download.

For example...I bought nova launcher prime and remote desktop apps.

My thing is this...over the years of buying and downloading apps ..I realize almost 80% of them hardly get any burn after the few days of having them..at this point I only get apps that I actually NEED to use daily or on a weekly basis..stuff that actually makes your phone more functional.

IOS nor android are missing any of the essential apps. I understand what thread starter is saying if he indeed paid that much for those apps...but at the same time I feel like...you could switch and get the majority of those apps back for free on android to make up for it lol. Whatever you read about these developers don't mean much because they HAVE to develop for android...android runs the cellphone world..they'd be dumb not to make and update apps whether or not most people are stealing them or not...let's not act like the iOS jailbreak community isn't huge and don't get mad free apps...I used to my damn self.

I think the benefits of switching to android outweigh all that other shyt...easily.

Also I forgot to mention... learned most of these high end games SUCK because of the touchscreen controls. Some games can get away with it...but the games that try to be like console games are azz controlling with touchscreen controls.

I totally agree with this( the controls) tend to get in the way.

I have been trying to tell people this for years...ESPECIALLY on a SMALL ASS SCREEN.

"Hardcore" gaming on an iPhone is infuriating. That narrow ass screen and you have 2 thumbs all over the place :childplease:

I'm honestly not really in to hardcore gaming on my smart phone, or even my ipad really.
if I play a game its gonna be something light and ez like a plants vs zombies or some shyt liek that

the main thing for me is the music apps.. do "pro" companies make apps for android??
Like Korg, NI, Akai, etc??

And this is partially my othe side of the argument

I was looking at some of the samsung phones and I was surprised at how big they actually are

like the Note(??) is a phone?? shyt is huge

the G3 would probably be as big as I'd want my phone to get honestly, and saying that its a little large(I'd still fukk with it though, its a nice phone)
