Samsung's sales were down 2 years in a row last I knew. They're considering canceling the Note line too.

True, but this was to be expected as Samsung has stated years prior that there would be a big decline in the smartphone markets due to over
saturation. Also the smartphone market in general is in a slump, however Samsung is STILL the number one smartphone seller in the world & will continue to have a leg up on the competition.

That's part of the story. The other part of it is when you consider revenue Apple is still kicking both their asses. Samsung and Huawei ship more phones. Apple brings in more revenue.

The main part of the "story" you fail to realize is that,Apple needs Samsung's manufacturing mastery to make hardware & screens for it's iPhone models. :mjlol:

This means that Samsung not only makes profits from it's preeminent smartphone portfolio, it ALSO makes a profit off it's arch rival, Apple as well. :heh:

That would also mean that when Apple declines in sales, Samsung also loses in the process from lack of demand for phone parts even though they sell their own phones.

Domino effect.

True, however as I previously stated, the downturn in sales won't affect Samsung like it will Apple & other smartphone manufacturers.

So does LG. Doesn't really change the fact that Apple at times last year was posting quarters where they brought in 51% of smartphone revenue. The reason Apple doesn't sell as many phones as the others is because they don't make any real budget models. If they did then they probably wouldn't lead in revenue.

So does LG.

:mjlol::lolbron::russ:

As an electronic corporation & manufacturer, LG doesn't hold a candle to Samsung, which is why LG smartphones are considered some of the worst by industry insiders & consumers alike.

Apple needs to come up with something unique imo. For me, I was always jealous of their picture quality, but thanks to in-house talent, Google has the best camera software and for those that can sideload an app, their camera software is available to many mid/upper range Android phones nowadays.

Outside of that, all the new stuff on the horizon (Android included) seems kinda meh. As a result, price is the only differentiator and Android wins that battle consistently.
