Im not even completely opposed to forcing a vote on the floor. I just hate the ad-hoc and chaotic method in which it was proposed. There was no grand strategy behind it, just anger and emotion. For example, who is the alternative to Pelosi? Is that person a moderate or a Progressive? If it’s a progressive, how much support does that person have in the Dem caucus? If you divide the Dem party, will that make way for a GOP speaker? If the M4A vote comes up and loses big, what are the implications? Does the average Dem voter even care if their Rep votes against M4A?

This half baked idea came from a self described “jerg off comedian making YouTube videos from his garage” This is who we should be taking marching orders from?

The only way Kevin McCarthy would become Speaker is if Pelosi would not promise to put M4A up for a vote. She didn't even have to actually do it she just had to promise to do so. If she can't do that it would be her fault McCarthy is the Speaker.
Plenty of legislation like the Civil Rights Act didn't pass the first time. There are no ramifications. If there are please name them.
M4A has almost 90% Democratic support of course people will care if their rep is a Democrat.

You need to separate support for particular policies from support for candidates who will enact those policies. People say one thing and vote for another. You have to connect the two. Throwing tamper tantrums is not going to do it.

What's the point of developing platforms, giving speeches and talking about what you will support then if the electorate don't go by that?
I disagree they don't look @ a politicians positions to decide who to vote for.

In playing the game didn't Obama make another Democrat Hillary Clinton look out of touch, kinda corrupt and not worthy of support?
