Seems to me some on the left have replaced religion with politics. They are acting like religious fundamentalist. If you don’t conform 100 percent to their version of leftist orthodoxy, you are labeled a heretic and burned at the stake.

How can anyone think that cursing people out and encouraging followers to harass people online is going to lead them to supporting your ideas?

Yeah Progressives have the right idea on healthcare, but people like Jimmy are doing everything they can do to alienate natural allies and by extension, those on the fence. If you are viciously attack the squad who agree with you completely on H4A, how are you going to convince moderates and their supporters?

If you truly support M4A you will fight for it regardless of who is yelling/cursing at you. Not saying they have to do it on Jimmy's timetable but tick, tick tick. You can't come into Congress not taking corporate money, claiming to be a different kind of Democrat and explicitly say you to want a vote on M4A on the House floor and then once in office say nevermind. Sooner rather than later they are going to have to publicly oppose Biden/Pelosi/Schumer or they are going to slowly lose the Progressive support the longer they play nice. Progressives want someone to fight for them not to get along and make backroom deals.

The country rejected the standard bearer for progressive policies and elected a candidate who explicitly stated he would veto M4A.

That’s the reality.

As progressives we need to accept that reality and put our focus on winning hearts and minds of the people so we can elect more progressives.

Throwing tamper tantrums and our own under the bus won’t do anything but make you feel better about being more pure than the next guy. Its time to accept that we are a minority not only in the Dem party, but in the country as a whole and act to change that fact.

This is what many on the left fail to realize. We don’t have the mandate to be swaggering around like Jimmy Dore does. We have to win the people first. As long as we keep losing to neoliberals like Clinton, Obama and Biden, we don’t have the standing to act belligerently like Jimmy Dore.

Jimmy Dore’s People’s party couldn’t win 1% of the vote if he worked from now till 2024. Like Nore would say, You gotta relax.

A very public fight with the powers that be hindering Progressives policies is a good start IMO.
