True, but getting 4K doesn't mean you lose 1080p.

The upscale alone would be nice. PS4 does have the ability to play 4K video, just not games. There's roughly 70 titles in 4K available now.

so there's really no justification to get an expensive new TV to potentially watch a measly 70 blu ray titles. and there's no doubt, that a lot of those blu ray's will be too.

only reason I'm considering it is because I don't want to put a 1080p jawn down there now and in a few years wish I spent the extra to get the 4K and be stuck with another big TV. I'd rather spend the extra stack and be done.

man, that's not a gamble I'd take. cuz that shyt could easily be the next 3D struggle. hell, we got 1080p tv's and outside of my PS4 games, I'm not even getting any 1080p content.

i do my gaming on a sony led tev now, it must be turning all the processing junk off when it's game time. it automatically cuts to ps4 when the console is turned on and you can navigate the menu with the tv remote

That is that hdmi-control/anynet working, my Samsung does the same with my ps3, navigate the tv menu and select the PS3, it powers up and you can use the remote to control it.
