Crazy to see this Thread

I actually decided to quit smoking yesterday and today's my first on the wagon lol I smoked all of my shyt last night

Like most said in here it started off great but then eventually found out to be more of a habit thing. I wasn't even getting high no more. Plus started fukking with my anxiety due to sensitivity for Sativa strains. Makes me feel better knowing others like me are on the same boat.

The longest i've ever quit before was 3 months

Good luck to everyone trying to kick the habit :salute:

:salute: hit up the gym shyt helps.

Wonder why you never have any money because you spent on something you don't even need :mjlol:

IMO drugs (alcoholics, stoners) are for mentally weak people, can't deal with shyt in life so you'd Rather get fukked up :scust:

I sometimes go months without smoking just because I'll only buy weed if I have the extra money for it, and smoking is good for you if you don't abuse it.

Sometimes you have chronic stress, especially as a black man in America's climate if you keep up with the news while living in a predominantly cac city.

Smoke that fukkin herb and I'm back to being care free. :ohlawd:

You can do it breh the first week is gonna be the hardest just go cold turkey and focus that energy on something else that'll keep your mind busy. After that first week you'll be at a kickback with nikkas in a cyph and shyt won't even phase you

i dabbled in high school but i didn't really start smoking heavy until 24-25. I'm 32 now.

honestly in the beginning weed was a very positive outlet for me. brought me closer to my own emotions and I discovered my spirituality. weed helped me learn things about myself I never even knew was there to begin with. The knowledge I gained as a result of smoking weed led me on the path towards my career. plus everything was just more enjoyable when I was high.

but for the past several years it hasn't been about that at all...now I needed it to just to function. I smoke when I wake up, before the gym, before work, before going out, before bed... whether i was in a good mood, bad mood, or just bored. I've become too dependent on it.

Which is why I'm thinking of quitting. I feel like I'm at a standstill with everything and I'm hoping quitting will help me get to the next level.

Just wondering if anyone here has any positive experiences to share for inspiration.

I cut down to next to nothing. I smoked from 25 to 34 and it was cool but it's time has passed. I used to get a very specific og kush from BC that was a very productive weed for me. Ever since I lost that link most of these other strains don't compare so I'm done as far as everyday smoking.

I still eat an edible or smoke with friends on occasion.

I'm an everyday smoker but every couple months or so I stop for a month to lower my tolerance and I find it really easy to go cold turkey. Main problem is finding something to do with all the time you usually spent finding the weed, rolling up, Being high, etc and the lost of appetite and insomnia for like the first 2 weeks

Yes I did after 14 years, its been 2 years now, sometimes miss it when I'm chilling deep in thought but I'm way more alert.

It was good for songwriting though

I miss smoking but in 2013 I stopped cold turkey for a while and when I started back, shyt was never the same, the paranoia was just too great, I was feeling like I could see the "real person" behind the facades and felt like nobody could be trusted.

:mjcry:

What a terrible feeling. The only way I could possibly go back to smoking is if I was certain that I wouldn't have to encounter other human beings during the time I was high.
