Going to a for-profit college is on the same page as having a back alley abortion.

:russ:

Its funny that you that because my homeboy completed his MBA in energy management from the University of Phoenix in the spring and just started a new job this week in Oil & Gas and is making $80k/year plus bonuses.

Let me guess, your "homeboy" only fukks dimes, too, right? :stopitslime:

Hell no...

I will rather spend money at a community college than go to Everest!

Any college advertised on Maury will fukk you up.

Guaranteed...

God damn, y'all nikkas are ruthless. :lolbron:

"Everest was one of 15 for-profit colleges cited by the Government Accountability Office for deceptive or questionable statements that were made to undercover investigators posing as applicants. Two unnamed campuses were cited in this report.[6] Department of Education statistics indicated that Everest College graduates had the highest default rate of any school in California for students entering repayment in 2010[7] and the fifth highest rate in Arizona."

Bro did you pay in cash or loans. Either way. It's a shame how these companies are able to get away with this crap....

I went to a pre-interview dinner with a Tier 2 accounting firm. It was either BDO, Grant thornton or McGladrey, but i'm not going to say which one it was.

There was a girl from Devy. She got her masters there. There were people from many of the UCs, Cal poly, and local high ranked private colleges. We were all required to introduce ourselves, and when she said "Devy", everyone looked at her weird and/or dismissed her. I wouldn't have wanted to be in her shoes.

I don't know if she got an offer. I got one but I declined it, and I went with the tier 1 firms.

Anyways, I was surprised to see her there because she went to Devy. Maybe she got there because she knew someone. However, seeing everyone dismiss her or roll their eyes at her because she went to Devy is more than enough reason for prospective students to think twice about attending any for-profit college. She could have been really smart, but her own personal brand name was tainted by attending Devy.

If I got a resume from someone from any of those colleges, I'd throw it trash immediately. I know what type of people go to those colleges, and they aren't the best and the brightest.

That really sucks, because I personally know a few employers who do the same thing. They literally throw out for-profit applications, simply because the standards are completely laxed and it's easy for people to sit there and cheat from online colleges.

Essentially people from for-profit colleges, overwhelming turn out to be unproductive duds in the workplace, despite a few individuals whom may legitimately "work" hard. Companies hate wasting time hiring ineffective prospects...

All they care about is getting your money.

There are only a few private institutions that give their students a good education and help them get a job after they graduated.

I would never go for a profit school because employers don't value for profit schools.

Let's be real... when was the last time you saw a commercial for a reputable university late at night?:comeon:
