People still can't use google? College degrees do not mean shyt. You sell your skills to create goods and services. Most of these people these days cant even read and write :mindblown:

Someone in here was really surprised they couldnt get a job with no experience and an 'mBA from u phoenix'. :rudy:

Its funny that you that because my homeboy completed his MBA in energy management from the University of Phoenix in the spring and just started a new job this week in Oil & Gas and is making $80k/year plus bonuses.

He got his masters there but what about his B.A or B.S. ?

Masters is only two years so they cant be that picky, especially in management.

Im a Chemical Engineer, might need that plug !!

There's a difference between for-profit and private. I also went to a private university. Harvard, Columbia, Duke, Stanford, and etc are all private AND not-for-profit.

What private university you attended (and graduated from)?

He got had civil engineering degree from LaTech but was working a non-engineering job for 3 years after being layed off from an engineering company. He wanted to get into oil and gas so he went back to school for the MBA at University of Phoenix because his company had an academic partnership and paid for some of his degree. Some companies that are in a fast growing job market like Houston are taking people with diverse skills. Most people he graduated with at University of Phoenix were already working in Fortune 500 companies, mostly oil and gas and were needing it move up internally in their companies. The school is not for everybody and like you said, if your work experience and BA BS is on point it can work in a city like Houston with an explosive job market.
