Went to IADT for three years....worst move in my life.....
i can imagine the interview process.
me: yes sir, i earned my degree in english at kaplan university
him: stop lying, nikka. you ain't got no degree...
<---- My reaction evertime I see a commercial for one them garbage ass schools
They sound like diploma mills to me. A way for people to take the easy way out.
Funny how people don't realize no recruiter really takes those schools seriously.
Anybody Ive ever known that went to one said it was a rip off. Except for ITT Tech like everyone else has said.
My older sister got her masters at University of Phoenix in management but she cant do anything with it cause jobs nowadays want you to have experience being a manager and have the degree. Pretty fukking stupid if you ask me....
I'll never understand why anyone would go to a for-profit...the includes UOP.
I mean they did have a monopoly on the whole online deal back around 2004-2005, but today they are competing with reputable and properly accredited Brick and Morters that are doing the same thing.
Why go to UOP for an MBA oneline when Penn State offers one?
Why get a Bachelors from UP, Full Sail, Waldon etc when CUNY and SUNY have the same thing and probably cheaper? It just doesn't make any sense no matter how you arrange it.
That's because they prey on the uniformed. Some people don't know what school should cost and therefore wouldn't know that they are overpaying. Some people also don't realize that they should check the school's accreditation to see if their credits would transfer to another school. How many people do you know that always say that they are going back to school but they never do? These schools like Everest prey on these people and then gas their head up about how many jobs they can get when they graduate. My wife called a school one day and they ended up blowing up our phone. They called up to 3 times a day asking when she wanted to come to the campus and when can she start. I had to cuss out the lady and told her to now call again. If a school is reputable and respectable, they wouldn't need to beg students to attend.
@concise How do they move these threads to the new sub-forum?
