You average high quality polls, not just point to the ones that give her the highest margin. Nate Silver, for all I disagree with him on sometimes, does this at his site:

It isn't funny how close it is with margin of errors accounted for.

It's basically everyone projecting their biases on the race at this point since it is so murky.
if the polls were reversed, the tenor of this discussion would be far different. the quality polls have her ahead.

nate silver is a hack in the employ of peter thiel, a fascist. i don’t look to him for honest punditry or accurate data analysis.

This was said in 2020,

This post remains true
It was true then too. Both the 2020 and 2024 elections aren't really "normal" elections because of Trump's assault on norms and institutions. His refusal to accept the results from the 2020 election was the beginning of his systematic effort to undermine public trust in the elections process. And despite multiple recounts, audits, and court rulings confirming Biden's victory, Trump and his people still promoted the false narrative of widespread voter fraud, further eroding confidence in the process. His "big lie" has persisted, which has left a significant portion of the electorate skeptical of election outcomes and has set a dangerous precedent for future challenges to legitimate results.

Remember January 6, 2021? The day he incited a violent insurrection at the US Capitol? His calls for his supporters to "fight like hell" led to a breach of Congress during the election certification process. They disrupted the peaceful transfer of power all at the behest of Trump and his big lie. This was a deliberate attempt to overturn an election. Trump continues to praise these insurrectionists and has promised to pardon them if he takes office. His rhetoric about political retribution should tell you that the threat of similar violence remains, especially if he loses again.

Do you need more than that to drive the point home? Well, Trump has also sought to manipulate the process directly by pressuring state officials across different states to "find" enough votes to change the outcome. His team also orchestrated schemes to submit fake electors in battleground states that he lost. His people also tried to disrupt the ballot counting process in Detroit by causing rushing the convention hall and causing chaos.

More? Trump has vowed to reinstate "Schedule F," an executive order that would reclassify thousands of federal civil workers, making it easier to replace nonpartisan experts with Trump loyalists. If if gets implemented, Schedule F would compromise the independence of federal agencies, transforming them into instruments of his power. This plan signals his intent not just to govern but to reshape our institutions to consolidate his authority, mirroring what we see used by authoritarian leaders worldwide.

Trump's actions shouldn't be downplayed, because his goal is not merely to win power but to entrench it, using disinformation, violence, voter suppression, and institutional manipulation to secure permanent control. We should make sure this doesn't happen by taking this seriously.

At 10:04 a.m. the day after the 2020 election, President Donald Trump tweeted he was “leading” in the vote count in several “Democrat run & controlled” states — until, that is, “surprise ballot dumps” took those leads away. The implication that something nefarious was happening was categorically false. But primed by months of Trump’s baseless warnings about massive voter fraud and his false claim hours earlier that he’d won the election, Michigan Republicans answered the call.

They hurried to the convention hall in downtown Detroit, then known as the TCF Center, where more than 170,000 mail ballots in America’s largest majority-Black city were being counted. Millions had voted by mail for the first time in 2020, and the new processes in Michigan seemed foreign to them.

What followed was chaos. Trump supporters furiously alleged a campaign of fraud when none existed. When officials declared that the room was over capacity and stopped letting Republican and Democratic poll observers in, Trump’s backers felt their fears were validated: They started arguing with police and election officials, banging on windows and chanting “stop the count” outside a room of poll workers tabulating military ballots.

Police eventually quieted the furious demonstrators, leaving the poll workers — many of them young first-timers, recruited from churches and Black sororities and fraternities — determined to finish their work.

It helps the economy :manny:
no it doesn't :dead:

SOME immigrants absolutely help the economy. but overall, they cost hundreds of billions of dollars, in needing public services. schooling their kids. they take up room in rental areas; who the hell is happy with rent prices nowadays?

this bullshyt idea from the left, where we have to open up the border to everyone with a sob story, is coming to an end. Dems are getting embarrassed in the polls. inflation killed the sympathy for letting in millions of broke homeless people, who have nowhere to live

They have just rejected 3000 mail in ballots in Nevada because a signature didn't match....this is the precursor to what Trump will try in EVERY battleground state in the country.....he actually has elected officials in place this year to cause unprecedented fukkery on election day

If you vote for Trump this go-around, I'd honestly think that you're a fascist, are retarded, or are a libertarian that would make even Ayn Rand blush.

You could write a 75-page essay about all of the bad shít that happened during Trump's presidency that was directly tied to him, and you'd need only 2 pages to write any positives that came from that same administration. Trump rivals Reagan in terms of being the worst president in regards to domestic policies... and that's saying something because Reaganomics almost single-handedly destroyed America.

I have no qualms about this election because I'm not oblivious to the reality of what America truly is underneath the cape. We like to believe that things, specifically people in this country, are overwhelmingly morally righteous and want everything or everyone to be rid of negativity, corruption, and hate, among other things, but the truth is that it's the opposite.

If you're worried, it's because you know as much as I do that America is not a country known for being morally righteous, and you realize people aren't interested in doing the right thing, but rather the things that satisfy their self-interests, which more often than not, tend to be amoral at the expense of others. We always say, “God Bless America,” but the truth is God isn't here today because if he was we wouldn't be in this predicament.

America lacks a conscience, and evil, not in the supernatural sense but rather things (racism, bigotry, hate, etc) considered amoral, triumphs over everything good (unity, peace, love, etc) in this country.

This election is somewhat of a battle of Good (Kamala) versus Evil (Trump). Again, not in the supernatural sense but rather where the country is headed in terms of morale. Never mind the political/policy aspect, but instead, the main focus is the moral state of Americans.

There are two paths, one of which will lead America down the road of peace, positivity, prosperity, and hope for the future. The other will lead us down a dark path of hopelessness, hate, and everlasting tension where many who are disenfranchised will suffer.

Im indifferent about the presidency but I would be lying if I didn't say I wasn't concerned about the Senate and Congress
I am most concerned with the Supreme Court. I don’t think Thomas AND Alito both don’t retire over the next 4 years as they go into their 80’s. Kamala will be able to replace at least one. Meanwhile if Trump wins he is putting two more MAGA’s on the Supreme Court who’ll both probably be in their 50’s.

You’ll be looking at 20 year of a 6-3 Republican Majority on the Supreme Court. That is all the time they need to change the laws to take away most rights and create a oligarch class
