Nothing less than iPic is peasantry shyt.
That being said we would only go for big Marvel releases or Star Wars films. Now that both have cooled off I’m god with just downloading the shyt the day after release for free like we did with Mulan. We do a themed night around that movie (food etc) because we would usually drop at least a bill to go to the theater. Saving at minimum $400 a year we will just reinvest in better entertainment equipment. I’m just glad I bought my 75” $3k Samsung when I did as it’s lasted us a good while as the everyday tv for watching good movies on.

Last movie we saw in theaters before the earth closed was Bad Boys 3 and I’m glad we got to watch it on the big screen as it was hilarious.

I used to love going to the gym from 8-10PM, going to pick up a carne asada burrito after finishing up, and checking to see if there was any intriguing movies being shown. I had a theater pass that let me watch a movie a day for free, so i started being less picky and going as often as I could.

Parking on weeknights was easy, streets and auditoriums generally empty. I'd eat my food while watching the movie, the theater chair being like a godsend after a good workout. Credits roll and I'd be home in 15 minutes.

I was having a lot of fun back then.

The last time I went to the theater was March 2. They showed this documentary for the Noise Pop festival that was going on in the city.

That is when I normally went, right after Jiujitsu, hit the 11/Midnight show, sit back, rehydrate, relax, and enjoy the explosions or emotions (The Joker Movie)....

I do. I always went to the Alamo Drafthouse in BK. I would have loved to watch Tenet and Wonder Woman 84 there.

Driving, parking, waiting in line, finding your screening room, dirty seats, overpriced low grade food, shytty quality picture, no bathroom breaks or pausing and you still have to deal with people being loud or talking . This is one business I’m glad COVID bankrupted. Streaming services >
yep...i don't miss it at all...i only feel nostalgic about it as a kid when I use to go with friends...I'm perfectly happy being home, hitting the pause button for a break, having my air popped popcorn and sitting in my recliner without having to drive somewhere, park, sit in line, have my walllet raped etc.

Hopefully movie theaters just become bankrupt altogether and we can finally get some direct to streaming going

I lost the excitement of going to the cinema as a kid. I rather kick back at home & watch movies in 4k quality, Dolby surround system.

Fukk cinema & those extortionate snack prices
