Anybody ever not file taxes for years??

They owe me for 09 but i def owe them for 7&8. Im hoping they keep my 09 & 12 & kim. My biggest concern are the penalties.

Real talk it feels good to finally get this over with and not owe anybody anything.

I didn't file in 2011, 2010, or 2009 (maybe '09) I believe, but I just filed for 2012 (and 2010).

Homey up top said the IRS held his return money until he filed the other taxes; I'm OWED money for all of those years, just didn't file because I was being garnished for student loans at the time, so should I expect to NOT receive my tax money back this year?

I think i depends on how much your return is before a red flag goes off in the system about not filing. For 10&11 i had no problems but 12 is a bigger return than usual. In your case sounds like you have no worries if they owe u all hose years.

Yea, but if you're getting garnished off student loans...................... you probably havnt given them a dime in eons, meanwhile you gotta playstation 3, a stack of games, a new laptop and car.

These b*stards have finally caught up to me. Theyre holding my 12 refund check until i file for 7,8 & 9.

Anybody have an idea how much penalties would be if i owe $6000?

Dont let these people scare you b..I was in a similar position once..you need to get all your W2s ,1099s and recipts find a professional preparer preferably a CPA (not the folks in the booths at the mall or sams club).
it will cost you (mine charged me about $500)Get them all filed so you know exactly how much you owe .
They will send usually you a letter saying how much penalty and interest you owe . call to set up a payment plan.
Stick to the plan.

i been filing taxes every other year since i became of age to file, i don't think i've ever been penalized but then again im not sure, them 2 checks usually have a nicca like to where i dont even care if anything was taken from me
