Don't worry B. Most people in the gyms I be at ain't really bout that life, so most of em be struggling.

The lil Beckys/Latinx girls be in there squatting less than a plate/benching 5-10 on each side (sistahs don't eem show up :gucci:), and the dudes still skipping legs and be putting 225 on bench or under mostly. :mjlol:
Damn breh you aint have to do me like that:dead:
I was repping 195 bench, 275 deadlift, pre-quarantine. Squat was sturdy though 6x315
First week back my shyt done fell all the way off

Naw point is that most people in the gym ain’t doing stupid numbers so what does it matter? I can’t think of a single way that even if anyone cared it’s going to make a impact on you or anyone else.

^This.

Me and my lifting homies talk shyt about numbers all the time, but outside of that it really doesn't matter.

One time I had a bad Becky cold approach once she saw me coach a female friend and put up big numbers, and a few other chicks used it an icebreaker. Sometimes cats will ask for tips or a spot because they know you bout it.

Other than that, numbers don't mean much unless you show up to a powerlifting meet.

I don’t even know. Gym ain’t open yet for NYC.... I’m about to find out come Wednesday(Gyms open back up). I definitely won’t be trying to bench 405. I think I’m going to deal with squatting and benching 315. I’m getting Larry Holmes status and I’ll be damn if I fukk my back and Elbows up. My shyt has been feeling great after 6 months of no gym.

Gyms not open in the city yet but I went out to LI to get a workout in. When I say I lost sooooo much in 6 months despite doing cardio throughout made me sick. I’m doing what I use to warm up with and struggling. Wed morning, I’ll be the first one at the gym ready to get it in. I can’t do this “no gym” shyt any longer

I'm wit blink and they changed from 5 to 6am as their starting time...

I know the high traffic gyms got 1hour slots that you gotta reserve...the other ones I dunno how they gonna operate

Word? Thanks for the info. I am registered at blink too so I’ll check it out. I kind of like the idea of reserving a slot though. Good look my guy

So I just started back trying to lift after like 4 months and Man... stuff that was easy isn’t so easy for me now.

I used to add weight to my dips and now 3 sets of 10 is a struggle. 4 sets of 25 pushups used to be a piece of cake(I should’ve kept doing these at the crib) pretty much everything I’ve done so far requires me to lighten the weight smh. Do you think it’ll take another 4 months to get my strength back to where it was?

Nah give it 2 weeks-a month. You'll be right back where you was at as long as your training hard and eating right. Muscle memory always kicks back in i know from experience
