Nah man. That's where I went wrong for so many years. There's a whole spectrum of hair coarseness amongst black men. I could probably follow your regimen and still break out.

I feel like the coarser the hair the more easily it penetrates back in.

get 2 electric toothbrushes.....use one in the shower when you wash your face........keep one dry and use on your face regularly

switch them up and keep em clean

Trim, don't shave. I keep it clean, very rarely get bumps. Nothing i ever did with a razor worked out for me.

I've been using a Bevel single blade razor for over a year now. shyt has been immaculate for my face.

Just change the blade once a month .

I use this for shaving cream
Herban Cowboy Dusk Premium Shave Cream, 6.7 Fluid Ounce
Rinse with black bar soap .

Oh wow, really once a month. How often do you shave with it?

Also why that shaving cream over one like Barbasol or an Aresol one?

Outliner is a dry shaving product.

Bevel was/is too expensive for me to ever purchase.

Go on Amazon and buy two things. Glycolic acid face wash by a company called touch. And glycolic acid toner by a company called the ordinary. Use the face was every other day or every couple days depending on skin sensitivity. Use the toner every night before bed. That shyt will change your life. But also pamper yourself. nikkas always rushing their shaves. Get that towel as hot as you can bear. Then hit your face with some preshave oil to condition the skin underneath and make the hairs more pliable. I personally use a straight razor to shave and line up my mustache/goatee with a wahl five star detailer. I cap that all off with prosaro aftershave for sensitive skin. That night it's the gylcolic wash, then toner, and a moisturizing cream before bed.

make sure that whatever u shave with is sterilized. dont keep the same blades on your razor or clippers to long. they get dull and bacteria builds up.
get a good aftershave. helped me with that damn irritation and bumps

Your skin must be deep in the sensitive area. I have combination skin, dry as fukk too so I’m going back to straight razor shaving. Not those Gillette bullshyts. Do you know your skin type?

Nah but my skin is not dry, in fact it's too oily lol. So much so I rarely use Vaseline because I dont need it, I just wash my face and keep it pushing.
