I need to know do you shave with a razor or clippers? If you shave with a razor stop and start using clippers. Razors aren't really for black mens facial hair, razors are for white people. Razors cut the hair down too low, and the hairs tend to grow back into the skin. If you still have ingrowns it's best to not let the ingrown get to a head with pus, best to get a needle and pick the hair out the skin as soon as you feel some irritation from it. Itchiness is the number one sign of ingrowns. My face never itches, because I have no ingrown hairs at this point all my hair is long.

I never use a razor, it would be a bloodbath plus I know it would cause ingrowns. I use clippers just to clean up the neck line and line up my beard

Then pick the ingrowns out with a needle. Your clippers may also be set too sharp. Take your shaving clippers to a barber and have him set them at zero gap, make sure you change the blades out on them on the regular too. Twice a year at least. Dull blades on the clipper can also cause ingrowns.

Biotin or hair vitamins and get a conditioner and oil ya beard 1 time a day. And condition it every day. Beard hair isnt like head hair.

Don't oil your beard everyday. Oil will attract dirt and bacteria and damage your hair over time. Oil lasts a lot longer than you think. Twice a week bro, trust me.

I wash my face 2x a day....when I shower. My beard is oil free at night

Wash your face or your beard? Don't overwash your beard. Conditioner is more important than oil, like actual conditioner you use in the shower and rinse out, not leave in conditioner.

I wash both. And I use a beard only wash for my beard.

Like I said I only use a wash every two weeks. A lot of people will preach using a lot of products, but honestly your lifestyle and diet plays more into beard growth than products. Drink more water, water is the most important thing for beard... hell hair growth period. I don't use a lot of products. Like I said conditioner and how you comb it is more important than oils, balms, and washes.

Nah fam, rinse it out thoroughly with water. It will be clean that way. Women will tell you they don't wash their hair a lot, because washing it too much will kill your hair. Rinse your hair out with lukewarm water thoroughly and it won't be dirty.

Everybody's different. I play basketball and workout and wash my beard after every workout.

Actually I use a beard wash every time I take a shower and my beard looked like James Harden's.

Lined up of course because I didn't want mine looking like his.
