I was but got injured.
Was doing 1.5-2 miles on days I lifted and 3-4 miles on days I didn't
I started cold turkey though so I wonder if it was just too much for my legs, will slowly ramp up after i feel better. in the meantime just walking for the durations I was running before
I've been running for 5 years now consistently.

One thing I noticed is you gotta make sure you have the right shoes for your style of training and running.

I'd recommend you hit up a running store and they can tell just from your walking style what shoe works best. You seems to have the right concept of running and and increasing your miles. Just take it easy

I try to average 5 to 7 miles a week. Anything over that and I'm hurting.

I like dude's videos and energy. He lives up there in NJ think.

I usually do at least 2 miles everytime I go out. But that may be every 3 days. I find it peaceful. Can't go everyday like I was young. Then again I have gained about 40 pounds since my prime running days. Focused now more on high intensity training like stair and bleacher running, and sprints at high school track.

50 miles per week and using these world class races to travel to places I wouldn’t have thought I would.

More brehs and brehettes need to get in the game in get this miles. It’s work but it is the cheat code of living a great life and dodging :flabbynsick: and serious ailments.

And you can easily run high mileage at a good pace well into your 60s+

I did a mile-a-day challenge in 2020. Started it having no idea that a global pandemic was coming. Running those 366 miles got me through lockdowns in Cali. The way I did it was to get the mile in minimum, but there were several days I'd mix in a 5K or more.

It was a great physical challenge but the mental, spiritual, energy and confidence gains made it :wow:

I didn't have the gym back then because of COVID. So I basically just ran and used a pullup bar, kettlebell, and DDP Yoga along with the runs.

My wife did it with me last time too, and we recently decided to do it again for 2023. We started a mile a day this year and just had our first baby girl in September so looking forward to running 365+ miles this year and using it to elevate my life.
