To win what:mjlol: he has ten starts he needs reps and the last game I watched it was deep shot after deep shot no qb will look good doing that

Steichen will be gone quickly if so he gotta look out for himself and Ballard definitely self preserving with this move

True but then Ballard shouldn’t have drafted a project and tbh Steichen should go he was brought in to develop the project and he’s done nothing I mean Mike McCarthy for crying out loud redesigned Aaron whole mechanics what exactly is he doing if he’s not improving the guys mechanics like that’s why Allen got better because Daboll revamped his mechanics

:mjlol: Browns went 4-1 with Flacco last year. He's old but can clearly still sling the ball around and is their best option of actually winning games currently, which is what the GM/Owner want to do
The team isn’t the browns the browns are actually good the colts are not

Ballard gotta go. He should've been fired already. His fate has to be tied to AR, he doesn't get to choose another QB.

Which then means Steichen is gonna be out anyway. New GM will want his own guy and unlikely Steichen actually wins now with Flacco.

No this is the first time they drafted a QB in the first round post luck. The problem is they did it with a guy who was garbage in college. Joe Flacco isn’t stopping you from drafting another guy next year.

They didn’t want the number 4 pick to be significantly worse than the corpse of Joe Flacco, but here we are.

Colts were 4-12-1
Texans were 3-13-1

One game was the difference between getting AR or Stroud but somehow you think Flacco winning games won't stop them from getting the right QB.

Winning 4 games is pointless. Fans who want their trash team to win games are only setting themselves up to be perpetual losers. 6-11 is a better season than 9-8 when you're not a contender. Draft position is what you're playing for.

If you need a QB you should be trying to pick as high as a possible. Even if you don't like a QB this draft a higher pick means trading down to get assets to get a QB next draft. If it's another position of need you still want to pick as high as possible.

Flacco is a net negative. He's not viable past a season and he can't be a bridge for a rookie because people will call for him to start.

I need to know if Shane made the decision to start him as a rookie. If he did and not the GM or Irsay then he might have to go.

100% agree the both should be gone. Ballard for drafting a project this high and also hiring Steichen and Steichen should be gone because he clearly can’t do what he was brought in to do

So just to clarify starting AR is doing so because you know he’s all time bad and will cause you to lose out, not for his “development”? Just to clarify right?

Californ-i-a by way of BK
The plan is to win games, evaluate the rest of the offense, and not Tank with a Tebow esque passer. Idk why people think you need 50 games to know whether or not someone can play.

Josh Rosen got 13 starts in Arizona with a worse team/coaching staff.
Okay, cool, they determined he's not the guy. So now what though? Win games? Okay cool. You win 9-10 games with Flacco and most likely scenario you get smoked in the first round by Buffalo. Now what? Is the goal to be respectable or to actually win something?

The Colts are a mediocre team. Staying with Flacco as your answer is basically accepting you're gonna be irrelevant and not a serious threat to anything.

So teams have turned the page on their 2023 1st and 4th overal pick QBs after just a handful of games....
Guys like Steve McNair would have never made it with how teams give up on QBs now. Allthough his early struggles could be attributed to Jeff Fisher though.
