You a through and through Colts fanI saw historically bad QB play and heard comments that would’ve turned teams away in a pre-draft interview.
I’d like to see Richardson get another shot, but not in Indy. Need that Spidey meme of the Colts, Panthers, and Browns pointing at each other as the league’s representative poverty franchises.Yeah, if he never made that dumb ass statement maybe they could've kept him in. Best case is Flacco loses games and they can put AR back in.
I think Cam Ward and Shedeur are solid picks but they'll likely be out of reach. They're gonna end up with Ewers or Beck which is why you might as well play AR and see if he can be salvaged.
I’m dying because @Based Lord Zedd called the Flacco acquisition out the minute it occurred and look where they’re at now. This is why the Colts should've a stayed away from old QB's. Flacco is fool's gold. You need to get a long term solution. They're lucky the Titans and Jags are struggling or they'd be looking at last place for the near future.
This is stupid.
First, Indy isn't a SB contender, they don't need a good backup. If Richardson goes down who cares what happens. We played this game with Minshew last year, all it resulted in was 9-8, missed playoffs and worse draft picks.
Second, Flacco plays nothing like Richardson. Get someone who can run a similar offense.
Ballard is OBSESSED with old washed QBs. Ridiculous.
My thing is, what's the plan? They'll be respectable, but they're not winning a Super Bowl with Flacco. This roster and coaching staff went 7-6 last year with minshew who is ASS. This is not some dumpster fire with no hope that he’s playing with right now
Whats his upside though? He’ll get another shot. Too much upside not to.
The plan is to win games, evaluate the rest of the offense, and not Tank with a Tebow esque passer. Idk why people think you need 50 games to know whether or not someone can play.My thing is, what's the plan? They'll be respectable, but they're not winning a Super Bowl with Flacco.
Is the plan to fight for a 7th wild card and be a first round exit? Or at best get a upset win and then lose in the next round? Like what is the ultimate goal of the franchise? Because they won't be bad enough to draft a high QB with Flacco.
To me a team should be fighting for a SB or fighting to build a team for a SB. Being a middling team is actually the worst spot to be in, especially in Football.
If I'm a team I'd definitely call about Richardson, since it seems like they're done with him.

Josh Rosen got 13 starts in Arizona with a worse team/coaching staff.
I've said it in other threads, but Russ with a historic defense and Mahomes with a GOAT-tier coach and HOF WR+TE laid the blueprint to win on a QB's rookie scale deal before his payday presses you to go bargain hunting for the team roster.Pretty much all were considered project players, but NFL GMs are fukking idiots outside of maybe five.
The Colts have been doing that since August 2019. The problem is that the ceiling of those teams is severely limited and won’t amount to much come playoff time. It’s NFL purgatory. The plan is to win games, evaluate the rest of the offense, and not Tank with a Tebow esque passer. Idk why people think you need 50 games to know whether or not someone can play.

No this is the first time they drafted a QB in the first round post luck. The problem is they did it with a guy who was garbage in college. Joe Flacco isn’t stopping you from drafting another guy next year. The Colts have been doing that since August 2019.
