No this is the first time they drafted a QB in the first round post luck. The problem is they did it with a guy who was garbage in college. Joe Flacco isn’t stopping you from drafting another guy next year.

They didn’t want the number 4 pick to be significantly worse than the corpse of Joe Flacco, but here we are.

You said the goal is to win games with Flacco and not tank. That doesn't hurt Indy's ability to draft a quality prospect?

Part of the reason they never drafted a first round QB post Luck is because they never bottomed out enough to be in a position to get a top guy.

We’ve literally been starting old ass QBs or low ceiling QBs with the hope that we could win games and it’s never gotten us closer to another SB. We know Flacco isn’t leading us to a SB so what’s the point? It’s not even like AR is the missing piece to get us over the hump. The defense is still mid. Our WRs outside of Downs can’t get separation. There’s no way our #4 pick gets any better being benched for Flacco with no explanation and it sounds like the locker room is being broken as we speak.

Crazy thing about this situation is AR still has the tools and upside he just needs to be develop, if he's even half of Josh Allen that's a top 15 QB and you see the flashes. Colts roster isn't THAT bad when you look at it fr fr so I get the pressure to bench him and try to win games, U can hope Joe Flacco can show him what being a Pro QB means and that 5 improves each and every single day , and takes over next year.

If he doesn't have a dramatic improvement next year then move off him, use the pick earned this year in the draft to go BPA and go QB next if AR sucks.

You can see the raw talent at points so the situation isn't hopeless just needs a lot of work.

There's at least 3 teams that would trade for him if he was made available

If you don't need 50 games to know whether or not someone can play, and 13 is enough. Doesn't that mean outside of Adonai Mitchell they've already been able to evaluate the rest of the offense?
13 is enough when you are an all time bad passer in year 2 on a team/coaching staff that won 7 games the year prior with a garbage starter. 44% completion would’ve been bad in 2004:russ:.

No it doesn’t because you can trade up. The chiefs went from 27-12 to get Mahomes

If it’s It’s broken, it’s because they have been starting the clearly worse QB and playing in their faces :russ:

You a through and through Colts fan

Prepare for the onslaught of lazy non Colts watchers to tell you that he shouldn’t have been benched because potential

He is horrible. Flacco gives the team the best chance to win and frankly Steichen needs wins to stay in the seat.

No brainer.
To win what:mjlol: he has ten starts he needs reps and the last game I watched it was deep shot after deep shot no qb will look good doing that

HC’s want to keep their jobs plain and simple. You keep AR in there and he loses the locker room and loses games or “tank”, he gets fired and the next coach comes in and picks the next qb. Players also don’t want to put bad film out there for them to get cut or not get paid

He always was gonna be a project idk why it’s surprising he’s bad. And it’s really still year 1 for him he couldn’t even do anything in the off season either cause he was rehabbing

Now you’re trolling lol. There’s no way you don’t understand that even tho Flacco has a higher floor, AR has the higher ceiling and is the one we spent the #4 overall pick on. A locker room being broken because an old vet QB is better than a young soph (basically rookie)? Yeah ok :mjlol:
