I am hype for this game... they have been real silent on this game.. but i am hearing the main guy who wrote the story for MA 1 and MA 2 is the lead writer and he is known for his Stories... so this game might have a great story and also like a MMORPG/Looter shooter

Why couldn't they just put this effort in Andromeda? :francis:
This is what they worked on while the team that made the gatdamn Citadel DLC were left with the first current gen Mass Effect

None of what included decent writers or animators

Plus they had to put the game together in a year and half :mjlol:

The most disappointed I've ever been in a game

It's really disappointing. The game should have been delay so they could at least implement a decent story but all EA cared about was making their earnings for the quarter.

BioWare Teases "Amazing Work" And Intense Story For Anthem

There has been a lot of shifts happening around BioWare over the past several years, with many of figureheads having left the studio to pursuit other adventures. A big reason for the shift, and a lot of the controversy surrounding Mass Effect: Andromeda, revolves around the upcoming online action RPG Anthem.

Game Director Jonathan Warner took to his Twitter account to tease a few of the topics brough up during an internal meeting at BioWare. He gave a little insight that promises an "enthralling" story - even going so far to say that the team "f*cking nailed it":

While writer Jay Watamaniuk jumped onto the hype train with his own input - specifically that "enthralling" story promised:

Other members of the team showed off pictures of the event itself, showing off excited faces as they overcame this "amazing milestone". With the PlayStation Experience later on this year, as well as the Video Game Awards, it is very possible that the team might be gearing up for a bigger reveal than the small teasers we've had so far.

No more gameplay footage as of yet since E3, but at least those interested in seeing what BioWare has to offer can look forward to a beta before the title's release.

Anthem is set for a 2018 release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Anthem Lead Animator Steven Gilmour has left BioWare

At E3 this year, EA unveiled Anthem as a brand new action RPG that is being developed by its veteran studio, BioWare. The game will have players taking the role of Freelancers, jetpack-equipped exosuit wearing explorers who venture out onto the game's hostile landscape in groups. Many deem the game to be EA's answer to Destiny.

However, there may be some trouble brewing with the game's development, as Anthem's lead animator, Steven Gilmour, seems to have left the studio according to his LinkedIn profile page. A user on the Anthem subreddit discovered the departure, which had gone unnoticed until now.

A comment by BioWare employee Bryan Johnson (BioAdmiralX) on the Reddit thread also confirmed Gilmour's exit news to be true. Johnson said that while Gilmour's exit saddens the studio, "no company is without turnover." He added that a large number of BioWare's core group of developers are still with the company and asked fans not to overly worry about the departures:

Lets take KotOR (came out in 2003) as an example, if you look at the credits under Core Game Design (which was literally the first list in the credits) we have the following: David Falkner, Steven Gilmour, Casey Hudson, Drew Karpyshyn, James Ohlen, Preston Watamaniuk, Derek Watts.

The only person in that list that is gone is Steve, with Drew and Casey leaving and coming back. So I know it's easy to look for any details to determine what is going on when there is little news, but I would say don't read into departures too much.

Gilmour had been a part of BioWare since 2000, working as an animator on games such as Neverwinter Nights, Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire, the Mass Effect trilogy, and the Dragon Age series, before his final stint at the studio as Anthem's project lead animator.

If Anthem sticks to its original late 2018 release window, the game still has quite some time to go before we can get our hands on it. Hopefully, Gilmour's exit won't doom the game to have a repeat of what happened to the animations of Mass Effect: Andromeda.
