Yeah, the Avengers coming together was so bland every comic studio is trying to do similar. lol
It was bland and successful. It can be both.

If a lot of people liked it and other studios are copying it how is it bland? Just because a minority of people didn't? We are speaking in general, and generally it was well received. It was bland and successful. It can be both.

Generally it was well-received but it's also a very bland-looking movie. Whedon's not known for being a visually competent director, he's known for his writing. Edgar Wright's Ant-Man movie would've looked great, he's a director very much concerned with how stuff looks. Now, who knows what to expect.
i'm so tired of their safe ass shyt
you are confusing your opinion with that of the general public. Generally speaking the audience would not call the Avnegers team up 'bland'. You can think whatever you want but let's be accurate about general opinion.
And Shaun of The Dead and Hot Fuzz (Edgar Wright movies I have seen) are not visually stunning. No need to inflate his credentials.
I'm talking about my opinion duh, my opinion is that Avengers is a bland-looking movie. Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz aren't visually stunning in the same sense that Terrence Malick is visually stunning but they're still well above what one expects for their respective genres, Shaun especially as it had half the budget of Hot Fuzz. Even Scott Pilgrim, which I hated, was still a very great looking movie. Wright's a movie-lover, he lives and breathes them.
Also I'm kinda done with all these apocalyptic scenarios in superhero movies where the fate of the entire world is at risk. Why can't it ever be more low-key, where the stakes aren't world-ending high?
Where you been at? Because you must not spend time in this forum where the all the threads for Amazing Spiderman and X-Men Days of future Past have been full of posters repeating the mantra that Marvel needs to get the rights back because Sony and Fox don't know what they are doing and every story leading up to their releases had dudes clowning every casting and production info that was released.Fantastic Four, the X-Men series of films, and Spiderman/The Amazing Spiderman have replaced actors and directors. And no one is hating on them or calling them scumbag moves. Stop making shyt up.
And actually people aren't waking up to Marvel's supposed mediocrity. I know you seen the Captain America 2 numbers.

Maybe I don't post enough to know but I think the 'Marvel needs to get the rights back' mantra thing has to do with the connected universe thing not that the other studios are hiring the wrong actors and directors. Most of the replacements seem well received on here to me, I think you're exaggerating.Where you been at? Marvel
All they're interested in is making bland assembly line vanilla trash.
They finally work with a distinctive interesting film maker and he bails out.
This is why I can't fukk with Marvel. There's no true artistry to this shyt.

Andrew Garfield is generally preferred over the old version. But I guess people miss the old director.
Michael Fassbender, James Mcavoy and Jennifer Lawrence as well, well received over their predecessors. And I guess people prefer Matthew Vaughn over Bryan Singer? Singer's reviews seem mixed.
Fantastic Four hasn't even dropped yet. But the casting/directing decisions are getting mostly negative comment I give you that.
