Marvel is just interested in making films that are essentially two and a half hour music videos, quality wise. Non stop editing, non stop action. The point is to produce spectacles that are "events" not necessarily good films.
The news Kind of reminds me of the comic book industry as a whole
Shouts to Alex Ross revitalizing Shazam in the early 2000s OH WAIT THAT NEVER HAPPENEDword. one writer hops on a new book or an old book and the fans get excited....said writer makes all these moves with the studio...months later, writer is gone and they always cite creative differences. It's not a huge deal to me because it's the nature of the beast. It's just funny to me because fanboys act like Marvel Studios isn't like any other studio in Burbank, as if they don't have money hungry execs and producers who impose their will on directors. There's a reason there have only been a few directors asked to come back to projects with Marvel

Shaun of the Dead is a classic, man. I could rewatch that movie a billion times.Souch panic in here
For what it's worth, I didn't think Shaun of the Dead and Scott Pilgrim were that great..... Decent at best but films that were one and done to me
So I guess good riddance
