Could be, I like the idea that most pilots are ex-military.

Also, they're talking about opening up more of an ability to take control of planes remotely on the ground.....but that situation could be even more deadly, because you'd possibly have a situation of one person on the ground being able to kill thousands of people. He can take control of multiple planes in minutes.

surely a system like that would require MANY people's verification to override command of the plane

split second decisions.....I don't know. It only takes one man's decision to lock a pilot out of the cockpit.

The fact is there's no way to put 100% faith in any man, no matter what he's doing. That's the underlying problem and theme going on with these plane crashes and many other things happening in the world. You never know when your day will come, be ready to go when it's your time.

I think each pilot should be equipped with a switch to engage this control, and maybe a Flight Attendant or other qualified personnel. That way, worse case scenario, the control tower takes over the plane. This would have helped on 911, too.

There's nothing to be sad about.....This life is not meant to last forever anyway. There's a life after the life we live on earth, for everybody. Get to know the One who gives eternal life to those that choose it. That's the only way to have peace as you live through this turbulent life on earth.

lets be honest, we're comin up with all these solutions but the system isnt really broken

this has happened what, maybe not even ever before? outta millions of flights?

id rather get flown by a robot tho :ehh:

but yo; the pilot should never BE able to be locked out
:dahell:

It's various documentation of this type of thing happening NUMEROUS times in this very thread.
