Im for getting rid of all the guns.. Still won't stop the problem of a segment of black people who hate themselves.. And if they hate themselves, they dam sure don't give a shyt about killing someone who looks like them. I've been harassed by the police numerous times as a teen, and that couldn't even change the way I felt about myself. You got people hiding behind guns to cover being weak mfers..
claiming a song made somebody do something is weak too. It's performative the way some people on here only show up when there is a black on black shooting and acting like a shooting is somehow worse if the victim or shooter made a song on their laptop.

"This is so much worse than the other 40 shootings that happened today"

Part of the issue is just america in general is one big ass gun-nut.
The other parts of these issues with the black community go back long before the first 16 was spit.

Everyone knows it goes back far. The problem is why are some people able to control themselves and some can't? And they live right next door to one another in the same environment..

Wait a minute there’s a lot going on here

So “BRB Savage” killed the robbers….posed at the still bloody crime scene..dropped a Vlad interview 4 days ago….and was killed just now.

How long ago was the robbery? And did Vlad only interview this ngga JUST bc he was involved in the robbery :francis:

ALSO….so another Kodak artist is killed and burned. Didn’t they do that to another ‘former’ Kodak artist???

How you got all this money and didn't hire someone to come clean up your place?

Vlad is openly trafficking in Black death. Black man is killed and it instantly boosts the profile of the person involved so much so that he's featured on one of the biggest rap platforms on YouTube.

Say fellas: could it be that these were gang members before they started trying their hand at music? Could it be that they see hip hop the same way they see selling dope or doing hits as just another way of making money quickly and don't actually care about the quality of the music? Could it be that young people aren't known for always thinking through their decisions, and their decisions are worse when you give them an audience and money?

Nah its gotta be the music! Yeah that's it!

Goofball comment. A simple mind looks at individuals. An analytic mind looks at institutions

So the same way the US government had a powerful effect behind the scenes flooding the streets with dope, and a powerful effect behind the scenes with the prison industrial complex, the rap game has a powerful effect incentivizing street nggas, giving literal gangs labels, also incentivizing them to be as savage as possible. You got a whole decade long gang war and people killed in chicago based on dissing dead ops in songs

We REALLY should not have to explain this shyt

play stupid.

yall think anytime a black person get shot it's "hiphop" or "a rapper made them get shot".

these issues were here before, and they will be here after hiphop.

So why isn't there story after story of RnB singers busting their guns or Jazz singers killing each other or funk creators stabbing each other up when many of them grew up in the exact same environments? Why haven't we heard about Kirk Franklin letting his AR loose?

Yo Gotti's restaurant got shot and multiple people got killed not long before this. Why does death keep hovering around rappers at a rate much higher than other forms of music?

Rap has had more of it's participants die from violent deaths more than the other forms of music combined.

What kind of music were the school shooters listening to? :jbhmm: what about those cac biker gangs selling meth and fentanyl :lupe:

Poverty+a culture that shames the poor and glorifies the rich+unemployed or underemployed parents+ discrimination in housing and employment+ underfunding of schools and underpaid teachers= this.

Blaming hip hop absolves the role of racist policies in creating the situation. You think drill music and gangsta rap existed when Malcolm X and Co would spin the block? You think the original crips and bloods were inspired to go out and shoot, stab or box their opps because of James brown or jimi hendrix? Crime exists based off of material realities that people live with.

Ain't no gangs running around in suburbia riding out to riddle Tyler, Connor or makayden with bullets but they're out here buying most of these albums and merchandise. They're out there posted up in the concert singing along to the songs and bumping that shyt in the locker rooms before a game. Black people aren't the only ones making violent hip hop profitable, and it's illogical to assume that it has a unique effect on our young but yet somehow white youth aren't doing this in their neighborhoods.
