Weird statement when if anyone is gonna be parsing film it's NFL scouts. You can't trick them with completion percentages. He makes some comically BAD decisions and takes sacks he shouldn't take. I think that's moreso him playing hero ball than trying to juke stats. He's gotta throw that shyt away, especially behind that o-line.
I dont know if Shedeur is statpading. However, me and @Born2BKing pointed out how the offense is very reliant on Shedeur completing a bunch of short passes.

I think Deion's comments kinda make it seem that way though. He always highlights what his completion % and never really finds fault when Shedeur is the reason he gets sacked. Shedeur doesnt really attempt enough tight window, NFL style throws with anticipation. Maybe he's coached that way to avoid turnovers (or to not get killed) or maybe there is still some adjustment to Power 5 football.

It might be more of a shot at Deion or Sean Lewis.

I think two things can be true. Yes he may stat pad a bit and yes he is still a first round talent. As you mentioned though, they put up hella points and they damn sure ain't coming on the ground. :russ:

I know we not comparing Marcus Mariota in college to Shedeur are we? :patrice:

Marcus Mariota was a gotdamn beast in college :mjtf:

Chip's system & the athletes on the roster allowed him to pad stats to improve his draft stock. Dude was barely serviceable in the league without half field reads & receivers that are beating their coverage by 10 yards.

Some gm and coach are going to convince themselves he’s can’t miss and they can turn him into something

Mitch was supposed to be it let the bears tell it

I think alot of the short passes are due to the lack of a running game/OL for most of the season

My takeaway from that is….the league is a mfer :manny: That bytch hard. So I’d pump the breaks on thinking Shaduer will fare any better.

I repeat, his processing time is a major red flag. We often look at interceptions as a sign for failed QBs but perhaps just as relevant is sacks taken. You not supposed to be taking that many sacks in college. And no, it’s not the o-like this ain’t the league he’s not facing Micah parsons out there. He’s trying to curate a high % and purposely trying not to run. He’s learning bad habits

Meh. It's more hero ball than anything else. Russell Wilson did the same shyt in Seattle. He'd take sacks waiting for the bigger shot.

His o-line ain't as bad as people say it is, but also it ain't top tier. He's a first rounder if he leaves, but I don't think Deion is wrong about him staying another year at Colorado.
