I'm glad he didn't avoid the criticisms of his platform. Still not happy with his answers, but at least he's got ideas to try and address them.

Do you think theres a chance he's attempting to appeal to more center/center-right people b/c he needs to first do well in Iowa in order to even stay in the race?

I think his platform looks like an attempt to appeal to as broad a base as possible. That's why he's managed such a bizarre combination of supporters. It's an intriguing strategy for someone trying to break through and get enough attention that his campaign becomes more viable and so far it's had some success.
