I hate comparing the 2. But to be honest I think the hype comes from Dre having most of the hooks and sometimes longer verses. His flow is more clearer and simplified than Big Boi's. Eversince Em put Dre in his top 10 he's been considered the best of the two. I like them for different reasons. I also think Big Boi is nicer than a lot of vets. He doesn't get his credit.

Edit: And I didn't even mention Dre's outfits and just being a mythical artist in general. People are more intrigued by what they can't explain.

Big boi has always been more technical with the pen. 3Stacks just had the creative swag. His side of Speakerbox and the love below was actually pretty dope. Especiall the way you move.

big boi has always been the rapper, and 3 stacks the artist of the two. bigs flow is always on point and cold, but I think his voice and a lack of hype on his punchlines makes dre look better. LEgendary status aside, it's like meek and rozay. Meek to me is just a better rapper and his energy is crazy. But Rozay has the signiture sounds, and voice, and adlibs to keep me more interested. as well is just more versatile.

I've said it b4 and I'll say it again Big Boi is one of if not the most under appreciated rapper of all time

Just listen to Big Boi spittin on Spaghetti Junction :blessed:

Well we zippin around the corner in that golden stankin Lincoln
I got my heat up under my seat
Just in case these youngsters tryin to take it
Pullin the pistol on another black man was never the plot
But sometimes my brothers lose theyself and try to take my spot

His flow:ohlawd:

Love that song....:noah: :to:

:salute:

probably because he carried him on the first couple of cds. but big boi held his own later on and on his solo joints
Disagree wholeheartedly, I actually enjoyed Big Boi more on they first album. Never felt Big Boi was carried, on some Jordan/Pippen shyt they complimented each other perfectly and they wouldn't reach the same heights without one another.

Also to me Big Boi been better than Andre over the last decade.

I agree. Dude's half of perhaps the greatest run in rap history, and he isn't even cited as one of the best rappers in the south :mindblown: it doesn't make any sense, esp. when Speakerboxxx and Sir Luscious Left Foot were so dope. People always acted like they were Jordan and Pippen, but I'd compare them to Magic and Kareem - both GOATs in their own right

I like taht what you said....:salute:

glad I aint the only one noticed these dikkridin rap nikkas putting 3K in they tope 5's all of a sudden, dont remember if it was Em,Jay or Wayne who got nikkas on that shyt, and of course media and then the fans went right along with it:beli:....But props to Andre for saying this, its been disgusting how Big Boi is treated like he was what Daz was to Kurupt with the rhymes....Big Boi was never no damn ball and chain. Folks just rewriting history, and you know this becuz I don't remember nikkas fiendin for 3K to go solo....folks loved Outkast as Outkast....if 3K stood out as much as folks like to pretend now fans would've been beggin Andre to go solo and going hard on Big Boi for holding back Dre's greatness:damn:
