Consoles will not be a thing of the past in our life time. The sales have been increasing from the 80s to now; that is 40 years.
This is false. No home console has outsold the PS2 which sold 155 million. The Xbox sold 24 so they combined for 179.
The Xbox 360 sold 84 million the PS3 sold 87 so they combined for 171.
The PS4 sold 117 the Xbox One sold 58 so they combined for 175.

Whatever Nintendo has sold be in in the 130 million range down to 14 million doesn't impact those numbers. High end home consoles have been stuck in that same range for almost 2 decades now. Even with the Switch its going to struggle to pass the Nintendo DS or PS2. The Wii and DS were out around the same time and combined for 255 million in sales. The Switch now Nintendo's only device has sold 132. The console market has shed a lot of customers and the Xbox 360 PS3 Wii generation was it's peak.

Those combined #s are down because of the Xbox's steady decline on the console end.

I don't understand how so call insiders are so off the mark. :snoop:

Phil literally said it's a case by case basis.

Them releasing games on other platforms is definitely happening just not core defining stuff

Common business sense would tell people smaller well received hits along with multiplayer games.

With some double A or triple A games that are new IP's or looking to find/grow it's player base.

Even if they took all their games and put them on PlayStation and Switch I'd still keep that Xbox Series X because I can usually swing deals on Game Pass and for the price I pay for that I usually get a handful of games at no charge I'd buy.
