They've figured out how the corporate rat race and game works and how these companies and corporations view their workers and have flipped it back on them.

Millennials and Gen Z are already eying other jobs from day 1 of starting current job.

They move and think like they are contractors as opposed to workers. They view it as the company are the ones paying them for THEIR service and if the agreements aren't meant or kept well they're out as it's breaching the contract.

Probably seen some old heads amount to absolutely nothing trying to win the corporate rat race.

Probably seen their parents and other old heads moan and complain about their work life balance and about being used and abused by the company.

No point wasting five years at a place out of "loyalty" or to "move up" or for annual pay rises when you can just job hop to another company after 1 and substantially increase your salary that way in half the time. Meanwhile old head Joe is still waiting on that promotion, department/role transfer or hefty salary bump which aint coming as the bosses have capped how far he can go from day 1.

This is a huge problem in the feds right now and them fed managers are not waking up to why folks ghosting out. They no longer can say "yeah the pay is less but the job secure" when people just bounce out to the private sector job that pays 50% more. That career ladder of starting folks off as a GS-5/7/9 ain't gonna work in this great resignation environment.

IRS tryna hire 10k+ people for the tax season and nobody applying and they are losing people like crazy. Same goes for TSA. Imagine working in the DC area on a starting salary of $39k while putting up with next level fukkery in an airport. NOBODY wants to deal with them people facing jobs anymore.

Most ppl are too entitled and unintelligent, more worried about weed and pronouns. Hate jobs dealing with the public. Would rather work on my own thing than at these corporations or companies.

A lot of people don't want to do that anymore. People don't want to work hard and be promoted. This is the generation that was rewarded for just participating. To them, doing the bare minimum should be enough.

I am no different myself, but I still actually try and have moved up, but don't want to keep moving. BUT I am also at a point financially where I don't have to move up. Most of gen Z are complaining while working retail or entry level jobs, they haven't even been in the job market long enough to be this jaded.

The youngest generations barely have any values they wanna live for. Many young generation people can't even tell what kind of career they wanna have. That's how you get indians or chinese taking over the jobs cause they lived in their shythole countries and know they are doomed without a steady income. Don't like your job? Go find one that suits you, or enjoy immigrants taking over the jobs and having more rights than you, cause they work and you stay unemployed looking for excuses.

I'm really only here for my parents, like things could finally get good a year, 5 years, etc. for me, future wife could be the broad I'm linking with this Thursday, or the one I'm linking with this Friday, but at a certain point you get tired of the existential thread, seemingly perpetual setbacks, and general outlook for your people (black folk). If you're not going to have a family (black women wife prospects are tough atm), you aren't Mr. bytches, and you aren't born into money, there's a guaranteed amount of suck/struggle period in your life.

Once you make it through that 5-20 year period depending on circumstance, if there's no one to celebrate it with or you're one of the only people you know in that position in your race + age group, it's a bittersweet W.

Again if something gives sooner than later/before 35 I'll continue on but if I feel as empty/purposeless/angry/wistfully as I regularly do now. I'll get my affairs in order and see myself out. Same these bs jobs are played out so are bs/misery laden existences

Since boomers have hoarded their wealth for the most part, what you're about to see in the next 30-40 years is one of the greatest transfers of wealth in history as they age out and their assets go to their children or state if they die without heirs. That 28 year old living with his or her parents will stay there and offer to even pay rent or pay for their parents home care if they get old with health problems. They'll stick around till their parents die and then take over the house. This kind of thing is already happening in Asia.
