guwop the bigger personality & definitely better at identifying upcoming stars

jeezy really more of the polished artist

but more folks are into the ignant levels gucci reaches ha

*
Jeezy shyt surround sound and Guwop shyt sound like it got recorded on the Atari ha
Its not the label's fault that the Traphouse album was buns. :yeshrug: the difference between gucci and Jeezy's label experience was that Jeezy had shyt on smash right out the gate. Gucci had to make a career out of dropping 12 wack mixtapes a year and performing the 10 most popular songs.

When Gucci caught fire by spamming mixtapes years down the line he got a deal, they didnt let him die. He got re-signed to a major and got new push, remember?

This is the machine my guy

And he still never touched Jeezy's peak.

They chatting Gucci was an Atlantic darling they held him down through his addictions and incarceration

Gucci had a great relationship with Todd Moscowitz and stayed talking about him in his book. That Mariah feature ain’t come out thin air.

Guwop had an organic run. Jeezy's push was pure payola. Cats that stan Jeezy are the type to dikkride billionaires and say they read 48 Laws of Power.
How old are you. Jeezy was organic and a explosion. Jeezy couldn’t even get radio play in atl cause they said he was afflicted with the wrong people

Both Jeezy n Gucci legends

But Gucci influence on the game def bigger than jeezy's no doubt about it

Jeezy blew up in the mid-late 00s but his star faded by early-mid 10s

GUCCI on the other hand was very local/regional in the mid-late 00s with an occacional hit here n there but he got bigger in the 10s and after comin outta jail he def blew up... N with the exception of wayne, he was the biggest influence on three out of the other rappers who influenced and changed the game in the 10s... Sosa n Thugga... (wayne being the other one)

We'll see how that translates tonight, but still the outcome wont change Gucci's legacy on the game

:yeshrug:

I think Drake and Future is more influential than Chief and Thug but all of those guys (except Chief to an extent I suppose) come from the Wayne umbrella which is a testament to how dope Wayne was

lol I feel like Gucci is about to let a lot of people down tonight
Having said this, Gucci more than held his own. I didn't account for the "energy" :picard: he was gonna bring...

If this was a regular night it would have looked like Ross vs 2Chainz

I wish nikkas stop saying this

Jeezy & wop was getting played heavily in the A. But around 07-08, Gucci took control of the city.

jeezy released The Recession that year & it was a good album, but that mixtape run Gucci had from 07-14 will never be seen again.

folks still played Jeezy, but anyone who says Gucci wasn’t getting played more than Jeezy probably stayed in the house most of the time
Well, I'll say it again. Slow bus ass nikkaz rocked with Gucci. Did a lot of nikkaz play Gucci shyt? Yes. A lot of slow bus ass nikkaz. Im born and raised here. I know what I speak of. I fukks with Gucci minimally. He's not seeing jeezy. I dont care how many people yall think he birthed. They probably rode the short bus with him.:yeshrug:

I think what really inflates Gucci was that his peak run was during the 2nd Wave of the Mixtape Era.

In that 2008-2014 time frame, mixtapes were the main way people were listening to hip hop. Couple that with social media/YouTube popping around this time and thats IMO why Gucci was bigger than Jeezy after 2008.

His opinion isn't unbiased. The ni99a fake hated on Jeezy because he showed up late to a video shoot and hated on Tip because he didn't want to invest in his homeboy's energy drink.

I get what you sayin' but st da same time, even though they're both EA nikkas, I'ono how it's been since I've been gone but Edgewood & Bouldercrest nikkas ain't get along at one point so it can be viewed from that angle too where bias/unbiased is concerned.

Question to all the people in ATL... Did Gucci give the Migos, Young Thug, and alot of ATL nikkahs a shot or was it JT? Because I remember Figg was in interviews talking about he discovered the Migos, Young Thug and others

He was around during them days. But it was Gucci. Zay showed him migos and peewee brought him thug. JT did other shyt for them like put them in movies and shyt.
