Alley somewhat right. They virtually the same age, came out at the same time, but appeal to different demos:

•Jeezy appealed to dudes who were natural hustlers. Gucci appealed to dudes who may have hustled but it wasn't naturally in their spirit...

•Jeezy appealed more to people born before '91/'92. You do see a shift amongst people born '93 or later, the younger demos more fit Gucci, he has a more youthful style to his shyt...

Wop is more influential to the generation below theirs. Is what it is, and he from Atlanta so he's a bigger figure in Atlanta off top. That aspect of his legacy is greater...

Jeezy has the stronger discography and has always been the better rapper. That part of Jeezy's legacy is stronger than Gucci's...

Both of them together are pillars of "Trap", which wasn't a commercialized subgenre of rap when they came in the door. Thats a legacy point for both, the entire style was mostly built off of them both (and TI)...

His opinion isn't unbiased. The ni99a fake hated on Jeezy because he showed up late to a video shoot and hated on Tip because he didn't want to invest in his homeboy's energy drink.

When it comes to dopeboy street music, Gucci isn't fukking with Jeezy. His legacy is built on Jeezy, without Jeezy there is no Gucci. Jeezy was out of here regardless...
you got this backwards

On the cool jeezy always had a machine behind em
Gucci didn’t .. n Gucci overcame every obstacle thrown at em
guwop the great
Maaaaaaan between Batboy and Def Jam.
Jeezy had a hell of a stimulus pack.
But Guwop, that's a whole different beast.

revisionist history.

jeezy was the man before the stimulus pack.
the east coast was even hopping on the bandwagon before the stimulus.

but nobody wants to talk about how gucci maine fumbled the stimulus pack when he got the big machine push.

The nikkas that's worried bout billboard hits needa be tryna get jay or drake and worry bout those type of versus .. leave this to the nikkas that just listen to the music

jeezy got more street bangers than gucci on a national level.

i can understand someone from the south riding with gucci tho. especially from atlanta.

I thought alley had next at one point

blackballed.
