I know he was on Fat Cat that was an indie who got a distro deal.

I feel, I was rocking with Jeezy before Guwop.

Gucci did not have a machine behind him to specifically cater to and focus on him as an artist.

I'm speaking so icy era.

Puffy formed a group around Jeezy and Def Jam gave him a budget.

That's what I mean by machine...not just getting signed to a major and let you flop around till you fizzle.
Its not the label's fault that the Traphouse album was buns. :yeshrug: the difference between gucci and Jeezy's label experience was that Jeezy had shyt on smash right out the gate. Gucci had to make a career out of dropping 12 wack mixtapes a year and performing the 10 most popular songs.

When Gucci caught fire by spamming mixtapes years down the line he got a deal, they didnt let him die. He got re-signed to a major and got new push, remember?

This is the machine my guy

And he still never touched Jeezy's peak.

I feel.

Yet Wop and Jeezy where two diff artists with two diff drives as far as success was concerned,IMO.

Jeezy went and tried to take ya boy out over a song.....where they do that?

Everything you just said and posting the vid makes pretty much validates what I said.

Gucci was ya fav artist fav artist.

Nicca was nobody and Mariah still wanted him on a track.

End of day Gucci presence and influence is seen and herald in the industry.

Not taking anything away from Jeezy, but Batboy and Def Jam caters to urban music.

Coli: "He brought the world young thug! :gladbron:"

That shyt is a sin

And normalize the strip club culture.

That is a cardinal sin to playas everywhere.

Jeezy took artistic risks out the gate, while Gucci just piggybanked from things already cool. There is a reason why Jeezy can make songs with Nas about a Black President, while Gucci took the Master P formula and catered to hoes.

Between 09-13 there was no rapper on Gucci level in Cleveland. Not drake not ye not Wayne nobody. nikkas named they hoods after him and he influenced nikkas lifestyles. Gucci the only nikka that really made dudes where I’m from want to be the grimey hood nikka instead of the fly street nikka

His opinion isn't unbiased. The ni99a fake hated on Jeezy because he showed up late to a video shoot and hated on Tip because he didn't want to invest in his homeboy's energy drink.

When it comes to dopeboy street music, Gucci isn't fukking with Jeezy. His legacy is built on Jeezy, without Jeezy there is no Gucci. Jeezy was out of here regardless...

People don't know that Gucci used beef to get his name out there in the first place. That 50 Cent shyt.

Jeezy had people doing mad since the first Trap or Die mixtape back in 2004.
