Bullshyt.

If he was still good... teams would give him a tryout by now. He is not worth the headache anymore because he is washed up.

AI Fans. :sadcam:

You sound like the type of nikka that laughs at black people with his white friends. I know this loyalty may seem crazy to you token, but perhaps it's not a good look to sound so satisfied when pointing out someone else's struggles or shortcomings?:mjpls:

nobody cares about this fakkit anymore

cant wait to see how stupid he looks at 55 with all those dumbass tattoos

Yet your fakkit ass had no reservations on sashaying (:wrist:) your way into this thread to offer up an opinion on a man that you apparently don't care about.

A.I @ 55 with his tats and his salt & peppered braids>>>>>> your measly existence, trollop. So remember that fact when you look into the mirror and see the bytch that's reflecting back at you.

As far as this story is concerned, I do wish that he would take the Mavs up on this opportunity because he hasn't played 'professionally' (or even semi pro ball) in a while. As a potential suitor, I would definitely like to see how much he has left, especially since he's 37 and his last stint in the NBA, was plagued by injuries. The D-league would also allow him to get in 'game shape', and to get 'game ready.' As far as A.I potentially tarnishing his legacy by going to the D-league, nah. His numbers, accomplishments, impact on the game itself etc, is already set in stone despite the revisionist history that can be attributed to the ADHD posters on here; he can literally start writing his HOF speech right now without having to worry about getting in because he's in there, first ballot.

I would love to see 3rd Degree the Gawd get a proper send off by being able to get back into the league and contribute to a team, but if it doesn't happen - which I'm not expecting it to - fukk it. It was a hell of a entertaining ride watching him play.

Or that he loves the game and is willing to do whatever necessary to get at the level where he's playing against the best, again :shaq2:
He made his decision and has taken responsibility for the outcome. If only he wants to play on his terms then he's got nothing to prove at this point...

All I wanna know is this. He hasn't played in the league since 2010. Does that mean he's eligible for the HOF in 2015? Or since he hasn't officially retired, does he have to wait until those retirement papers have been filed?

this nikka is a 37 year old first ballot HOF'er. why are u suprised that he's not chomping at the bit to play in the d-league???

he's made at least $100M, u think he gonna bust his ass in some shytty small market like antoine walker all :flabbynsick:?

exactly.

its way too many idiots on this board.

not to mention that iverson never stunk it up in the pros, so what does he have to prove?

if i was iverson, i'd just go to china along with the other superstars - marbury & t-mac. the dudes that fell out of favor with the big-wigs and refused to do some kiss-a$$ chit.

Why play the race card?

Who said I am satisfied? The truth is if he really wants to come back he would do anything in his power to get another chance. Why not sign to the D-league and show the league he still has something left? Why not have an open workout? AI is the type of player that feels entitled to shyt because of who he was in the league. He finally admitted that it was his own fault he is out of the league. People will only put up with your shyt when you're good, but they won't put up with it when you're not an elite player anymore. :shaq:

Would you be saying the same shyt if the Lakers offered him a D-league contract?

 @ thinking T-Mac is there by choice. He would toss your salad to get an NBA contract again.

Marbury would just toss your salad.

Have you guys ever considered that the D league offer is just an attempt to sell some more tickets/bring more attention to the squad? How do you know it's a legit opportunity to get a try out?

Also, the cacs are letting their feelings on AI be known in this thread. fukk off and go watch hockey then.

seriously aint no gurantees in life .......same way how any body can get laid off after 5 yrs of hard work .... thats life you accept it and take risk....hes trying to make a comeback right? and as for people exploiting poor ole AI to sell tickets ............isnt that the definition of sports.......the sport owners organize an event and manage risk to generate revenue in excess of wages paid ........

i really dont understand

playing the race care incessantly to suit ones weak arguments makes u seem lightweight mentally when all you can say is that because of the color of ones skin they must act and talk a certain way.......

I feel where he's coming from not wanting to play in the D-League. The man is a Hall of famer and a legend, he should at least get a 10 day contract. But if that was his only route, then maybe he needed to swallow his pride and do it. But how the hell does a man have a 10,000 a month clothing habit. nikka just buying clothes to be buying them.

Why should they give him a 10 day contract? Is he entitled to a 10 day contract because of what he did years ago?

What if a team offers him a camp invite to training camp next season and he says no again?

If he wanted to finish his career so bad he should take advantage of any opportunity he gets. A million players would die for the opportunity to show case their talent in the D-league and you have AI taking that shyt for granted.

And for the people complaining that the Mavs are just using him to sell tickets... isn't that part of the business that players get paid to play and help sell tickets so the owner(s) can make a profit on their investment?
