I see the locker room is doing the daily I hate aoc thread lol.
Naivety and foolishness are her calling cards :manny:

Please tell me it isn't true she is proposing to "build out high-speed rail at a scale where air travel stops becoming necessary" in 10 years:mjlol:
Imagine believing consumers would opt to take a train from L.A. to NY over a flight.

:mjcry:A ban on flights is probably what that really means.

We are still making side by side comparison with homogenous, ADOS free countries the size of California?:gucci: that trust their government? and aren't tasked with leading the free world...

I'm not the one who said Norway was my favorite example. :yeshrug:

:dead:that cheeseball really thinks Democratic Socialism is actually Socialism

:heh:like the decades of propaganda this country has pushed on people has worked wonders that they think us going back the the early 1970's standard of living when wages were at their peak and we had genuine social programs and higher taxes on big business is akin to living under Stalingrad

I'm not the one who said Norway was my favorite example. :yeshrug:

Like that's the reason people are making threads on her daily in TLR. The occupant in the Oval Office says something idiotic five times a day, but a freshman congresswoman's statements are the truly naive thing to focus on right now. :mjlol:

You know how long a list of stupid statements we could make if we just focused on old White men in power right now? But for some reason TLR doesn't thread on those.... :jbhmm:

Capitalist stupidity is easier to swallow in this country than "socialist" stupidity...:yeshrug:
This really shouldn't surprise anyone.

This subject is interesting to me.

I'm aware that each place with ethnic tensions is different and burdened with its own problems, but I remember the system of worker owned means of production in ex-Yugoslavia that worked just fine despite the ethnic tensions, and enabled a good growth (6% in the decade before Tito's death) until we started to break the country down and kill each other.

I'd even argue that democracy at work is not just resilient to ethnic tensions, but even more beneficial and better equilizer of ethnic tensions than democracy at governmental level, since everyone participates more with a personal stake, and good ideas with a more immediate personal repercussions are more appreciated independently of ethnicity.

The economic system was not enough to stop the ethnic conflict, but that is a different problem that we still have in the Balcans...

I'm curious what exactly is the argument that homogeneity is absolutely necessary for Socialism to work but not necessary for Capitalist systems? And is that logic applicable to all forms of Socialism regardless of model?

Because a nationally mandated health and education system is usually standardized. When you have a small homogeneous country this is easier because most of the people are similar in background and genetic makeup.

In the united states this doesn't work because the educational needs of someone in a coastal big city is usually different than the needs of someone in a rural area.

Same with medical. Black people have different needs than Latinos and whites. We suffer from different conditions and diseases. So do we get allocated more money for sickle cell and heart disease. You see how people act when we advocate for things for ourselves is that going to fly?

And we're not even talking about cost. They got people gassed up talking about billionaires will pay with their taxes, but I haven't seen a proposal yet that would generate that kind of revenue without tax increases across the board. I'd be willing to pay more for my family, but quite frankly I don't wanna pay 50 to 60 percent taxes so nikkas like @Ya' Cousin Cleon can sit on his ass all day getting finger blasted on his girl's couch.

And I ghosted because this forum is dead and most of the people in it are wack. Threads with zero replies on the front page since yesterday. :russ:. No one likes this blavity nikka circle jerk and yall hoe ass nikkas talking about me in my absence because I actually gave you the thrill of using critical thinking to break the circle jerk.

Its a know argument by racist against far left policies for many years.
In addition to the post above, homogeneous societies aren’t burdened by the belief that their(cac) taxes are being used to benefit someone else(nikkas).

In America you even go as far as to say cacs feel they don’t benefit from increased taxation and that it’s sole purpose is to prop up lazy negroes.

This thinking doesn’t exist in hemogenous countries.

No nation faces the social and political challenges America faces so making side by side comparisons silly, as if they do is silly.

It doesn't work in the US based on what? We never tried it.
