If he was alive to see this album...he would've gotten roasted for it. Significant dropoff from Capital Punishment.

I didn't even try. I do like 'Watch Those' a lot even though it's a bad beat by usual standards.

Plus, Tony Sunshine re-interpolating En Touch's too hype drums up nostalgia.

So that's where he got it from.... :ohhh:

By far my favorite part of the whole song. Those first 55 seconds right before the chorus >

I was prepared to give Tony Sunshine total credit for that. There are benefits to having your surly geriatric ass around here.

I been forcing myself to not call Ghostface flabby for like 5 years now. Actually, i'm lying. I've called him flabby readily. Raekwon on the other hand is one of the best rappers in the world.

lots of ppl givin too many safe answers.

no more political bs.

let's start gettin serious.

i am a huge Pac stan. he was the first rapper I really gravitated towards at a young age. heard about 80% of all the shyt he's ever recorded including those old makaveli bootlegs from back in the day.

but man...the way ppl stan 7 day theory puzzles the shyt outta me.

obviously it is a classic if only on the strength of the circumstances surrounding its release, but musically from top to bottom come on it is not even close to being his best work. hail mary, to live and die in LA, blasphemy... some dope shyt no doubt... but man...

his BEST album???????

really?????

shyt had some of the most undercooked production I have ever heard.

I dunno... I don't know hoe anyone could say that shyt is a better listen than MATW or especially AEOM.

maybe someone here who really does have that album at the top of their rankings could help me to understand.
not only the best Pac album, but the best music album. Period. :camby:

I remember buying the cd the day it dropped. I knew it was classic from the first track. It's kind of an obscure album and obviously the climate and mysteries surrounding Pac enhanced the listening experience. I have it neck and neck with matw. Lyrically Pac was advancing on 7 day and for me, it's his most abstract album. He displayed all of his personalities on that shyt. His rage, his calm his conscience and his soul. The production takes a back seat because his lyrics were very potent on that LP. I've never v forced myself to like that album because it was almost a compilation of his life, personally and musically. In other words, it was straight Crack rock.

Word. fukk that nikka talmbout? :smugdraper:
