I'll add another vote for Yeezus.

And the response from the stans was funny to me for a couple reasons: (1) It seemed like all those accusing others of not being diverse enough in their music tastes were pretty young and had simple tastes themselves. Like, listening to Radiohead and other entry-level electronic music doesn't make you a connoisseur of all things concerning music. (2) The sound of the album of was purposely off-putting, and Kanye has stated as much. Producers who worked on the album stated that he actively sought to remove melodic aspects of the record just because it wouldn't fit in with the rough, industrial sound that he was going for. So, when it finally came out and everyone formed their early opinions (which was a collective "wtf"), you had all these stans who were forcing themselves to act like the sound was just the most pleasing thing ever and anyone who reacted with a "wtf" -- which was the reaction Kanye intended listeners to have in the first place -- was just considered an uncultured simpleton.

I personally thought the album was OK but I don't think Kanye wanted masses of people to like it.

So Death Grips was biting, but Kanye, who has made a career of biting (low key tho), wasn't? :sas2:

 now i never said death grips was ripping off someone, i just said that they weren't the first ones to do what they did but the people who compared yeezus to them like to think they were

plus in this case i think it's more likely that kanye was biting from the same sources that death grips was too

Atlantic Records fukked that album up imo by trying to make it more "radio friendly". Atlantic Records had my nikka Lupe rapping over pop beats. :snoop:

Yeah but I still enjoyed it very much nonetheless.... Show goes on, words I never said, i don't want to care right now, out of my head, break the chain, all black everything... :ehh:
