Bro, this production is a f*cking MOVIE! I never knew my ears can hear all these elements at the same time. The sonics on this are so damn clean and tight, it's absurd.

As a producer for 25 years, after hearing this, I wanna quit and never touch my equipment again.

The mixing, mastering, instrumentation, sound selection, placement, arrangement, space is so immaculate. I don't know enough English to describe how frustratingly dope this record is.

I listened on my SONY WH1000XM4's. Just lied in bed with the lights off and zoned the f*ck out. I don't even smoke. I can't imagine what this album sounds like while high.

No one is making beats like this. No one's making albums sound like this. Sh*t is phenomenal.

Okay, I appreciate your excitement for Dre's new album and longevity in producing.

But please don't say you want to quit your art off this or anything.

Yes, it's great. But it pin pointed why to me Dre lost a step.

Not because it's bad. I love the Tom Petty track best.

But these hiatuses and long breaks lifted his finger off the pulse of music.

Musicians can never take long breaks. History shows this repeatedly.

Even if they put little effort but stay dropping albums. They still may be outdated a touch - but they'll move with the times their way.

I hated Forgot about Dre when it dropped. The flows and beat but grew to like it.

But when it dropped Dre was already an older artist in the game yet HE chose the way the sound would go culturally and fans followed suit.

That being said I'm not a hater and am not trying to de hype you.

Run with it! This IS the inspiration rap needs and Dre Did do a phenomenal job.

The mix is quite remarkable and rather extraordinary

Sound sound sound
if were being honest what you said makes no sense, the albums mid but also midder?

exactly the type of nonsensical trash take expected from the owl brigade

I guess you can’t read

The album overall isn’t good

And the production is the worst part about it..its generic

That seems the general consensus in the thread..not sure why my comment was any different :yeshrug:

I respect the enthusiasm from the OP but I dont hear or see it, its bland and the album is pretty mid which hurts to say
Same. Glad some ppl are liking it, but it sounds too clean and overly polished to me.

I actually think Snoop is rapping pretty good on here, but Dre's production feels kind of soulless to me on here. Haven't been a big fan of Dre's production since before Compton, even though he's in my top 5 all time producers.

Haven’t listened yet but don’t have high expectations. What I am looking forward to is the mixing and mastering though. We have lost so much of that over the years. Just seeing the name Brian “Big Bass” Gardner brings so much nostalgia.

lmao this was fun. brehs can act low key
Not only that but they are in character and themselves at the same time. They've been doing this exact character for 30 years now..

In this thread I linked all of the short films they did
