How is that Marsha joint? I forgot that dropped.
It feels like some smokey nightclub lounge shyt

Like a Bond soundtrack at times

Lots of familiar samples being flipped but I think that's kinda the theme of the album, her inspirations getting tribute

It's a unique album and there isn't really much like it

Can an album be too well produced?
2001 was extremely overproduced lol

that gunshot/yelling/ratcheting another round sample in Bang Bang still gives me second hand embarrassment, 25 years later

shyt is GOOFY!!!!

i just know dre was behind the boards cheesing like a mf to that ridiculous ass sample

This Axtaully made sense, as it emphasizes the chorus.. There's an actaul functional purposes for those exclamations especially when performing.....this new shyt tho? Just gratuitous sound salad that adds no actaul value to the music

i do agree with you, i just think the samples in Bang Bang were kind of goofy:mjlol:

Snoop sounds GREAT rapping on this.
man i thought snoop did a fantastic job. he sounds hungry, and hes rapping a lot faster on some of these tracks. the lyrics and performances were excellent, it was the music itself that wasnt up to dres usual standards

Snoop and Dre made an album for the 40 plus crowd. It met my expectations. Thought the production was top notch. Snoop ended the album strong. I actually like the Sting collaboration!

Dre seems happy to make adult contemporary hip hop and test the limits of his creativity. I don’t want to hear Dre trying to chase the ghost of gangsta rap in 2024.
