I've watched this show twice and I'll tell you this, every time you watch it and read about it, your perspective changes and your favourite characters change.

Marlo wouldnt come at Slim Charles like he did the rest neither, he knew it was Slim Charles dropping his men like flies and tried to recruit him over and over the last season; Marlo respected Slim like none other, he even allowed Slim to address him as youngin, which can be perceived as a slight

As far as Marlo starting over Marlo knew when to bend unlike Avon; his bodies were all business, no innocents or civilians got killed on his order or none of that, although ruthless he understood the cards he held in his hand and every option he could play. He was groomed in the ilk of Prop Joe he would have been back in the midst of the heavy street shyt in no time manipulating others, and taking over corners like he showed in the last scene....You think the streets wouldn't let it be known that Marlo was back in the game; not to mention Avon was coming home soon, with them burying the hatchet and realizing they are one in the same; him and Avon still had a line on that connect...Dont think it would be no starting from scratch with Marlo
