new fightful:
Fightful Select has learned more about the fight that went down at AEW All Out, as being told to people close to the Ace Steel-CM Punk side of things.
Per the Punk/Steel side of things -- After the scrum, The Young Bucks approached Punk's locker room, and Punk wasn't answering the door after having been in a long match, bloodied, and finished with an emotional scrum. The Bucks were said to have pounded on the door, with claims that they "kicked the door down."
Ace Steel's wife was in the room, which is what Steel had told people set him off and made him go ballistic, throwing chairs and ending up biting someone. The claim made from him was that he was looking out for his wife above anything else.
From what we heard, Omega didn't seem nearly as upset initially, but things got out of hand and he ended up being bitten. We're told the fight was a "very long" altercation, and that the talk back and forth did not stop after the brawl.
There were rumors that CM Punk had injured his triceps during the fracas. However, those near him say that it happened during a dive that many noticed during the AEW All Out Main event. He could be seen icing it after the match during the scrum. We haven't been told of any severity, but were told Punk was "hurt" going into the backstage fight.
We need to point out, this is what we've heard as one side of the story, which we haven't heard much of until this point.
There are rumors running rampant that Steel and Punk are both done with AEW, but those close to them say they haven't been informed of that as of yet. Virtually all of the AEW roster we've spoken with believe that if Punk & Steel aren't let go, heavy amends will need to be made.
If you have any questions regarding rumors or things we can and can't clarify, drop a comment below and we'll do our best. I realize this is a wildly gossipy subject.

sounds like Ace Steel was being a stand up gentleman for his wife. Bucks should be fired for this 🤔

So based on these two wildly different accounts, the one consistent is Ace Steel threw a chair and bit Omega. At the very least, he should be fired.

Also said that because of lawsuits TK could have been advised to hold off on releasing Punk, if that’s what he decides to do.

That would be workers comp and you don’t have to keep a guy on the payroll to still be responsible for workers comp. Used to work at a clinic that contracted with businesses for stuff like that and we’d have people coming in for work injury follow ups several months if not longer after leaving the company they got hurt at.

I don't really keep up with AEW, but it sounds like Tony Khan runs his business like a "mark" He loves the attention from the internet wrestling community buzzing about what's going on in the locker room. Now it's blowing up in his face cause you can't run your business the same way thots run their twitter. How can you fix the drama when you love the drama? :ohhh:

But what do I know. :manny:
I bet it broke his heart when he got booed last night. Man might never recover from that.

That dive was pretty early in the match too, impressive performance considering that. Stupid ass motherfukker shouldn’t be doing that flying and flippy shot, guess he’ll never learn.
Bruh needs to be like ric flair, and never jump off of anything because his brittle as body can’t keep up. It feels like dudes been hurt more than he’s been around

Can’t remember if I said it in here or not but Punk getting an injury that’s going to put him out for 6+ months made it the easiest decision ever to vacate the world title instead of interim. And then with the Elite getting involved in fighting him, makes it easy to strip the belts off them since you can spin it as you stripped them for being dumbasses too instead of being out X # of weeks.

Yea I finished this scrum again, Punk himself def isnt coming back to AEW, this sounded like a man completely mentally checked out

2013 Punk all over again

Idk how dudes are trying to spin this to a W.

Won the title 2x and got injured both times. Has his backstage hissy fit inviting a bunch of playfighters to fight him forreal since he got 20 yrs training and could finally maybe beat a hs jv wrestler. Gets more hurt in the melee and proves what Vince and co been saying about him this whole time. Not worth the trouble.

Dudes in here mentioned hangmayne did better ppv#s as champ w none of the fukkery. They were selling out shows before him you can literally do anything you wanted in regards to a Punk storyline w Bryan and it instantly becomes better and you got a guy who aint insecure over his spot on the card because he know he ill. :salute:
