Also I blame all of y’all for this, the IWC wouldn’t let no mercy die in peace so they went out and did a no mercy remake with AEW paint.

Let me say this as someone that plays hundreds of hours of no NWO revenge and smackdown here comes the pain. No mercy doesn’t work in 2023
HTCP would have been a better remake, I never once said “man I wish they remade no mercy” but y’all kept saying how it’s still better than WWE2k, and that’s not true

I forgot I had PSN cards I was saving to use for another pre-order but idk I might take a bite at this since I had them for awhile. Idk the reviews are coming off like a 50/50 deal.

It's not 50/50. The positive reviews are basically glossing over the main problems with the game, and really emphasizing the word "fun" to makeup for the shallowness of the game. If you're saving those cards for something like MK1 then I'd go with that.

I’ll say this.. if you’re an AEW fan it’s worth a purchase just to play as the AEW roster in an AEW branded game. Having legitimate versions of their signature moves and not needing substitutions is cool

If you have disposable income, gone head and buy that. Now if the 60 is something you don’t really have like that to just blow on a video game, you’re better off waiting for a deal.


Game feels like a nice starting point and 6 months out it’ll probably be a much better game with updated modes, dlc patches etc. but as is, it’s not a whole lot. It’s fun on the surface, but I can’t see myself spending mad hours on it. Not yet at least.

But even with that said, its gameplay is fun. You’ll get some burn out of playing random exhibitions

Patches are one thing, but have they even said if they're going to be adding modes? The DLC announced is terrible and the only mode they could update is adding more people to the ladder match.

Dont care about customizing shyt that much thats too tedious and time consuming.. It would be nice to have community creations though to download other people who like doing that.. Thats my only gripe.

But otherwise im having fun playing this.

Funny enough this game is a microcosm of AEW itself. Undercooked. Doubles down on matches as the value(fun). Lackluster story content. In-fighting that ultimately affected the final product.

When you can download entire rosters and remake eras, companies etc. with one click, it goes a long way. It’s a lot more important to the longevity of a game this Gen than some are letting on.


I don’t create anything myself but if I definitely download plenty of dudes. In game rosters get old quick. Nobody is gonna be playing as John silver and Trent Baretta. It would be ill to just download a spot on Okada or something with one click.


They need to prioritize that for game number 2 if they can’t upgrade this current game

Two hours in and this shyt is fun as hell. Doubt it'll be a regular play a couple of months from now, but it's the only thing that's not Gran Turismo that's been played on this PS5 since I got PSVR2 and it kept me away from racing for like two or three hours. That's not bad.

I've done finishers through tables, run people into ring posts, hit them with the damn ring bell but I haven't made a single one of these motherfukkers bleed yet.

Started Road To Elite with Pac - all the clock through gym and eating BS can go, but it's a fun way for it to feed you different matches.

Easy is TOO easy once you've got the controls. I won the Title in a fukkin' squash against Jericho on the first try.
