Yukes best days was SYM, HCTP, and SVR2006. 2K19 is the best 2K game but it still has alot of flaws. Especially their treatment of Universe Mode.
Yeah Universe needs an update. We should be on 2 or 3.0 by now. 2k19 is a very good game though. But if that rumored 10m dropped on this is true than that's not going to cut it in the 20s AA/AAA space. Are they competing or nah?

I was a single player championship mode beat the whole game kid and I still haven’t played a wrestling game with a better storyline mode. It was dope how the tree built with your wins and losses and showed how close you were to finishing the full tree. A new game with that plus all the modern updates would be dope to me.

what makes 2K19 so good, and how is it diffrent from the rest of the 2k series
i generally want to know cause i never played it
It's the sim game they finally got right in the 2k style they been trying to make the last gen or so. I like a more sim based game and 2k19 had a lot of small gameplay details that made the overall package enjoyable.
- Real stamina and fatigue. You're wrestler would do "tired" versions of moves towards the end of the match. Including selling as well as the opponent that took the move. This is not in 2k22 btw.
- Crawling pins when you are fatigued and damaged. Not in 2k22
- Gameplay was less arcadey. Can't spam moves and strikes without penalty.
- Universe while outdated now just worked. No crashes. Custom images, arenas etc worked as intended.
- New paybacks like poison mist that stay on the face of opponent for some time. of the match.
- Face paint would also fade off the face after time has passed during matches.
- Custom matches and match tables in Universe allowed for distinct brands. Want an ECW? Setup the match card for all different types of hardcore 3way and 4way dances.
- Roster was one of the best they ever had.

I can see why Omega was pissed at Yukes, but he should also be pissed at Tony for getting his hopes up. The graphics are decent but it looks stiff as fukk and now it's going to be a barebones game as well SMH. That 1st game excuse doesn't work since they're using an old engine and it Yukes.

2k22 has surpassed 2k19 imo, and the GOAT wrestling game is still HCTP. But you did leave out one very important Yukes game

One such feature that will be limited is the game’s creation suite, which saw limitations implemented rather quickly.
Not having a suite as deep as other sports titles shouldn’t be that surprising. Having the ability to create championships, arenas, shows, and more was nothing that should’ve been anticipated for the first game. However, the limitations are going to be felt in other areas of the suite which can be viewed as either a good or bad thing, depending on how you look at it. SGO was told that movesets in general will be limited “akin to an early 2000s wrestling game” while customization options for wrestlers will leave people wishing they had more.
Regarding the game’s music, one source said don’t expect all of the licensed music that wrestlers have for their entrance themes to make it into the game. One said, “there’s a reason they are showing only wrestlers with themes created specifically for AEW in their previews”.
