1. Jay changed his story too much and I think the police coached him.

Here's an interview with him saying he saw the body at the grandma's house;

Now, check this;

Jenn says she didn't know he helped, but, there's shyt with her saying she saw him change his clothes and hid a shovel.

It sounds like Jay got caught up and the cops wanted to pin this on Adnan and they coached Jay.

2. Jen, nowadays don't even seem to believe what he said;

3. Yes, Adnan has some suspicious activity, but, not enough to make him the killer. Especially when there's no accompanying physicals evidence. Most ppl go to prison off testimony and no physical evidence. But, they had the opportunity to test Hei's body for any evidence that Adnan assualted/murder her and they didn't. I just don't trust Jay enough to believe his story.

4. Lowkey, there's some weird shyt about her, too...

----

Again, is Adnan "innocent"? I don't know

But, he's not guilty beyond reasonable doubt
He should have never been found guilty based on Jay being the main witness. It also doesn’t help matters that the one of the law enforcement people still helped him out years after. The prosecution has always insisted that Adnan was guilty, but I'm assuming that DNA evidence must have came back to someone else other than him for their tune to finally change.

Never in my life have I heard of a prosecutor asking for a conviction to be vacated. There must be some shyt they were made aware of to shake their confidence :ohhh: prosecutors Wouldn’t even ask to vacate in instances where the person is very clearly innocent like all the bite mark cases:mjlol:
:whoo:

I was obsessed with the Serial podcast and listened religiously when it first came out. I had no idea there was a documentary :ohhh:. And it's on HBO Max. About to dive in this. I was always of the mind that he was innocent but it looks like a lot of yall aren't convinced. Based off the podcast alone, though, it should make sense why some of us think this guy is innocent (or at least not "guilty beyond a reasonable doubt"). I'll be back with my thoughts.

From the Wall Street Journal;

This is why I think the police coached Jay to accuse Adnan and come up with this bullshyt story because it was the easiest conviction

In their reinvestigation, prosecutors found a document in the state’s trial file detailing one person’s statement, saying that one of the suspects had motive to kill Ms. Lee and had threatened her in the presence of another person. The suspect said “he would make her [Ms. Lee] disappear. He would kill her,” according to the court filing.
That information was never given to the defense, the filing said. Prosecutors are required by law to give defense counsel exculpatory evidence upon request. The reinvestigation also revealed that the grassy lot where Ms. Lee’s car was found in Baltimore was located behind a house that belonged to one suspect’s relative.
“This information was not available to the Defendant in his trial in 2000, and the State believes it would have provided persuasive support substantiating the defense that another person was responsible for the victim’s death,” prosecutors said in the filing.

Further revelations include that one of the suspects, “without provocation or excuse,” attacked a woman he didn’t know while she was in her vehicle. One suspect was accused and later convicted of rape and sexual assault. Both incidents occurred after Mr. Syed’s trial, prosecutors said, but they added that they found the information relevant given the possible involvement of the suspects.

The motion also calls into question the validity of cellphone records and data, which were an important piece of evidence for the prosecution in Mr. Syed’s original trial, as well as a key witness’s testimony.

“There is an abundance of issues that gives the State overwhelming cause for concern,” prosecutors said as they requested a new hearing in the case.

The reinvestigation of Ms. Lee’s murder is continuing, and prosecutors said they plan to ensure justice for the victim.

“But after reviewing the evidence and the new information about alternative suspects, it is our duty to ensure that justice is done,” Ms. Mosby said Wednesday. “We believe that keeping him detained as we continue to investigate the case with everything that we know now, and when we do not have confidence in results of the first trial, would be unjust.”

And this doesn't even mention Asia McClain never was involved in the trial despite saying she spoke to him when they was saying he showed the body to Jay.

Whether he did it or not is pretty much inconsequential imo. As with Steven Avery, I don't believe the State proved its case so people feeling like he actually committed a crime means jack shyt to me.

Also, Jay has always seemed suspect + he couldn't get his story straight and I never got the vibe he was covering anyone's ass but his own.

A lot of that information in the HBO documentary and article isn't new or surprising to people who has followed the story over the years as the Undisclosed podcast and Rabia, Susan and Colin have mentioned it previously as well. They and other people deserve major props for the change in the prosecutions stance even when people thought that they were fighting al losing battle. We'll see if the media acknowledges them though or if HBO gets the majority of the credit eventhough they brought up Cathy's part years ago.

Even Bilal (who they're obviously referring to) isn't surprising as a suspect at all as a lot of people on Reddit over the years have theorized that he potentially did it as well.
