“WWE sources have indicated that Cole is scheduled to be backstage at tonight’s episode of WWE Smackdown for what is being called a ‘high level meeting’ with Vince McMahon.”
There is no word regarding if Cole will appear on the Smackdown broadcast.

This. Its why Zack Ryder going to GCW worked so damn well. He is the antithesis of what GCW is and he leaned into it. Punk could be a MAJOR heel with his past feelings on fast paced "car crash" style wrestlingNot really, there's not a lot to takeover when the guys coming in are more "AEW style" or internet darlings than "WWE style". I'm more interested in how Punk and Bryan fit in the current AEW structure than them trying to do anything like a NWO type of thing.
