Of course the ATL
I agree with you guys, but at the same time, I guess I see more pressing needs besides infield. We need a catcher that is an upgrade offensively and/or defensively, more reliable bullpen arms, and power in the lineup. I’d be fine with Dansby as the 8th hitter next year if he’s the only guy batting under/around .250, considering his defense and upside. I believe there are intangible clubhouse factors with Dansby, too. I’d like to see at least one more year to see if he can get his offense going.

But we do need to figure out what to do with Riley.

If there is something this Dodger series showed is that it’s ok to have talent on the bench. We might have to try platooning more next year.

If we can get a clear upgrade at SS I'm all for it. I like Dansby but we're not beating the Dodgers or any of the other top teams in the NL with light hitting options at SS, C, RF & CF.

If Riley and Johan are the top two for 3B & SS, you gotta go with them...Dansby as a sub :patrice: I think we could get something for him

Hard to find hard hitting SS's though. The best way to go is to upgrade the C and/or RF. Better yet, move Acuna to right field because there ought to be more options to upgrade your lineup at LF.

I think Dansby is young enough to improve his bat. At least he could develop to hit for a high average. Don't forget how Andrelton Simmons was when he was young (glove first, doubles power with his bat but didn't hit for a high average/OBP either).

It’s a 1 year deal, so I’d imagine Riley will sit in the minors this upcoming season.

If I’m the the Braves, I’m trying to get bullpen help for Dansby. Camaro can play SS, and I’m just not ready to part with him yet; especially when it seems he’s a better hitter than Dansby. Dansby looking like he’ll be your typical .245 max hitting shortstop.

Hate to lose Danbys glove at SS

He's not a Gold Glover :yeshrug: and Camargo is just as good as him statistically in the field. Bottom line is we need more production from our lineup...Dansby is at best a league average hitter, we need contact hitters and more power. Donaldson helps with both

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if McCann found his way back to Atlanta since he's a free agent after this season. He's completely washed though, but it'll be good to have him in the clubhouse since I can see him end up being a manager once he retires.

Called it

Apparently he turned down more lucrative offers too. Now we just need Kimbrel to come home.

I think they'll probably platoon 3B until one of them wins the job outright, sort of like how Chris Johnson won the job a few years back. I guess either of them can play SS, so Dansby needs to step up too.

If we don't sign anyone to replace Markakis, maybe they'll throw someone in RF :patrice:
Donaldson hit 33 Homer's and got MVP votes in 2017. He is gonna be the 3rd baseman breh

He was injured in 2018, so who knows if he can comeback to form. He did alright with the Indians though, I guess. We've made signings like this before and seem to always whiff on them :manny:

I forgot we traded for Adam Duvall :heh: He'll end up in RF.

I’m in wait and see mode for Donaldson... BUT if he’s healthy and able to replicate his typical Blue Jays production we might have the toughest 1-4(5?) in the NL. If we can still get Harper :wow:

It looks like Camargo or Dansby getting traded or being used as a super utility role. If we can’t get Harper I wouldn’t mind trying Camargo in the outfield.

It feels like AA is gearing up for a huge trade or two. Some of these pitching prospects gotta get consolidated.

McCann... :ehh:
Hes pretty washed... we will see
