"He always comes back"

That scene between Sam & Ollie had major foreshadowing. Sam telling him the unnecessary/unpopular decisions are necessary w/ Ollie interpreting that as reason for stabbing the Snowman. He always comes back a not-so-subtle hint that there's no way Jon Snow is getting killed off for good. He's coming back!

Yeah, people watching the show are gonna be able to go back and see a lot of the hints but it's subtle enough for them not to catch on right away. As a book reader, it's obvious, but it's fun to catch all the foreshadowing and easter eggs. We even got a Strong Belwas send up last week and a mini Weeper reference from the Thenn this week (he talked about taking Snow's eyes).

better than blackwater bay?

No. Blackwater is the single best episode of ANY tv show I ever seen. Its up there with the episode where Will's dad comes back on Fresh Prince. And the Battle of the Bulge episode of Band of Brothers.

Cersei and her drunken rants through the night to contemplating killing her own son and self
Tyrion's "those are brave men out there....lets go kill them"
Everytime Stannis was on screen (the Storms End story, "Not hundreds....thousands")
The Wildfire
Pod killing Mandon Moore
The Hound's "fukk the king"
Joffrey bytching out
The cavalry of Tywin and the Tyrells

:wow: Blackwater is the pinnacle of this show so far. Hardhome is close and so is The Mountain and the Viper
