Cornfields, cows, & an one stoplight town
:camby:

It wasn't that bad. He didn't make Theon eat her p*ssy or let his dogs fukk her

As far as rapes go, it was about as least-bad as they could have made it

Or are rapes somehow better when you are less familiar with the character?:rudy:

It was terrible from the standpoint that Sansa's character in the book seemed to be heading for a more promising future. And if GRRM's reaction is anything to go by, I really think they're gonna destroy would may have been a very interesting character arc in the books.

In the previews for the next episode (2 weeks from now :francis:) they show Davos wondering around Stannis camp. Is he finally leaving for that mission? :lupe:

i was thinking about that yesterday after hearing the chapter where they escape from theon. i wonder if/how they will do it on the show.

my guess is we get a draw in the battle for winterfell this season. theon escapes with sansa to stannis' camp and tells them about the boys being alive then next season littlefinger pops up north with the knights of the vale and tricks roose into thinking he fighting for him and then turns on him and jumps on stannis' dikk to fool him against cersei, but stannis wont be playing that shyt.

so littlefinger's role is probably gonna be manderly+karstark

I am NOT a sex offender
also am i wrong in not remembering dornishmen being as arabic-appearing as they are in the show? i know they live in a dry area and all that, but i pictured them as more mediterranean. i guess they're kinda like moorish sicilian/spanish in that sense, but the geography and their more liberal culture said something different than how they're portrayed on the show

meereen being east of westeros and decadent and ancient always came off as more arabic-influenced imo :yeshrug:

I don't know if this answers your query but there are three types of Dornishmen:

  • Salty Dornishmen live along the coasts, mainly along the Broken Arm region, where the Red Mountains stretch out into the Sea of Dorne. These Dornishmen are lithe and dark, with smooth olive skin and long black hair. They are fishermen and sailors, hard men who sail the ships of the Dornish fleet.[4] The Martells of Sunspear would be considered salty Dornishmen.[3]
  • Sandy Dornishmen live in the deserts and the long river valleys. With faces burned brown by the hot Dornish sun, they are even darker than the salty Dornishmen.[4]
  • Stony Dornishmen live in the passes and heights of the Red Mountains. They have the most Andal and First Men blood and mostly resemble the other people of the Seven Kingdoms in look, customs and traditions. A few stony Dornishmen may follow Andal rather than Rhoynar laws of inheritance.[5] They are brown-haired or blond with faces that are freckled or burned by the sun instead of browned.[4] These include the Yronwoods with their blond hair and blue eyes,[6] the yellow-haired Fowlers,[7] and the violet-eyed Daynes.[8][9]

:yeshrug: was thinking more about their dress than appearance. but you bring up an interesting point, the dornishmen that we all love as "the little guy" who rages against the machine is actually an imperial conqueror from a foreign land who shytted on the first men/andal stony dornishmen and co-opted them into their kingdom :heh:

Jon stabbing Dany would fufill the AA prophecy. Jon is stabbed and his body is burnt on a pyre (not sure where the salt comes into play but theres your smoke). Jon gets revived on the pyre in the Melli Mel ritual. Maester Aemon will spill the beans to everyone about Jon on his death bed. Jon rallies enough support against the White Walkers and defeats them. Dany gets to Westeros too late and nobody respects her claim. Furious that her entire life's dedication goes unrealized, she goes full Mad King and wages war against Jon. Jon defeats her in battle, stabs her in the chest, and her soul binds to Longclaw. Lightbringer byke, Jon is Azor Ahai.

In the prophecy, Azor Ahai has to kill his wife to forge Lightbringer. Since Longclaw was intended to be Jorah's sword before his exile, and its used to kill Dany (the love of HIS life), its not unreasonable to believe that this becomes Lightbringer.

Also, this is why Maester Aemon seems to know who Jon is on the show, and why Ned would send Jon to the Wall knowing the time would come when Jon would need to know the truth.

What do you think the chances are LSH ends up in the show at some point? Maybe a teaser in 10?
Also, from the brief fan description of GRRM's appearance this weekend, he is less than thrilled about the Sansa rape, and he teased that R+L=J might not be true, in relation to Jon being at the TOJ anyway. IDK, I guess we will have to wait for more accounts from fans that were there.
